What is the best place to find a 6.0 or even a 6.2 to swap into a classic? What would one expect to pay and is there any advantages to one over the other?

Actually I have a 2011 Camaro SS LS3/6 sp manual already for my toy and a buddy will be putting an LSX motor in his 69 Firebird so i am just trying to check out where most people are finding there parts and such. He is in the early stages right now but if the right motor comes through he can be ready to move on it.

searchtempest.com is good. I found a gto ls2/t56 combo with a fast 102, big cam, all the wires, pedals, totally complete and already tuned by a legit shop for $5500. He said he would take $5k though. Sold in a matter of days though before I could arrange shipping.
Someone on performancetrucks has a complete L92 for $4k shipped right now that I was considering before I bought my stuff from anvil. An iron 6.0 will be quite a bit cheaper Al of course, at least stock vs stock. Getting a motor with all the accessories on it will also save time and therefore money. Patience + money on hand = good deal.
