Fixed the coolant leak I had, put in 5 gallons of gas and saw that it was leaking out the top of the tank... Oh the joys.
Got some stuff re-assembled. Hood, lights, some of the interior.

Got the fuel tank leak fixed. Had a minor PS leak, went to check the torque with my wrench and the head snapped off. (cheap fitting, not over torqued) had a new fitting made locally and installed. Had an exhaust leak that was causing stalling issues, but I bought new, thicker gaskets and that solved the problem. The AFR reads 13-14.. Which from what I've read is ok. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Got the flex plate/torque converter cover in tonight and these sexy things.
Once the 8" of snow melts off the first test drive will be to my shop to make a couple little brackets.
Shouldn't be more than a couple days til the maiden voyage.. Weather permitting.

The speedo works indipendently off a wheel speed sensor, but I think mine is busted, gonna look into that today. Fuel pump, a walbro 255 is a direct swap. I am not using the BMW engine or trans modules anymore.

Alright guys, went to get in my car, turned the key, it cranked and cranked but didn't start. I checked all fuses, fuel pump relay clicks, there's no power to the fuel pump and my PLX gauge won't connect to the obd2. It has switched and constant 12v. Should I get an actual scanner? Crank sensor?

Got the sway bar in
And had time to paint it after cleaning my garbage pitt of a shop. Now just need to find time to install it.
Been playing with settings and I'm getting closer to where I want it. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll find time (and money) to have it dyno tuned.
Also, having a new LSD made with 3.62's... Really excited about that.

Thanks
I tapped into the no longer used fuel pump circuit to power up an auxiliary fuse block that powers the GMPP harness, ran a wire for the tach, new starter wire from the ignition switch, new wire for the fuel pump and then backup lights... There's probly more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Had 70* temps here today and the car is running great. Never over 210 while sitting and about 197 cruising.
Took my brother and brother in law out for a spin and timed 0-60 at about 6.1 seconds and had some major wheel spin... So I'm guessing if I could get traction I could do about 4.5 seconds. Not bad at all IMO.

Wow, been awhile since I updated.
3.62 Gears are in, car drives MUCH better. I'm at about 1800 rpm at 70, it's much smoother, feels like there a lot more power to be had, and it feels like I have more traction...
Found a vibration at 90 tho, been trying everything under the sun to diagnose it, but I've come to the conclusion this evening that the driveshaft is short about .625-.75"
Also got the swaybar in (FINALLY!) and man does it totally change the handling characteristics! Much more precise, feels like I'm on rails around a corner, no more washy lane changes, makes the rear end feel a lot lighter. Can't wait for some dry weather to really test it out.
Didn't get pics, car was on jacks, not the lift. Not enough room to get pics that you can understand. Lol

Jesus Freak,
Have you had any tranny cooling problems? FWIW.... I've read that the tranny cooler lines shouldn't be on the bottom as they will/might cause air pockets Its also posted on the B&M tranny site. FWIW

What an awesome build! My dd is a 2005 E46 vert. I enjoy it a lot. In the future I would like to turbo charge it. My project at the moment is my '87 IROC-Z. Gonna be quite a while before it is complete. When it is, it will be time to jump into the Beemer wrench first!
