well, i got 95% of the wiring done and got my seats in place. the only thing left is the gauges and i learned that relays r your friend. its all down to the small stuff hoses and a small fuel leak. the only major thing now is exhaust, interior and a driveshaft.

gettin closer everyday now. its down to the exhaust and i can start her up. nothing changes the look of a car like wheels so i got her a set of 17x8 N90's. i think a good look would be painting the bumpers to match but we will burn that bridge when we get there. i know they take your eyes off that cancer, lol.

still making great progress and saved some dough. minus my gauges the car is wired, i had a small fuel leak which can be scratched off the list along with trimming more of the trans tunnel. mounted all my sending units and ordered my exhaust. waking up to a delivery on your porch always makes your day better.

What headers did you use? I tried to use the stock 5.3l headers but on the drivers side it runs right into the brake proportionate valve. The passenger side seems to work fine with the f body camaro manifold.

thank ya guys shes getting ther slowly but surely. i bought a 37 degree flaring tool and cut off the barb on my sending unit and used a tube nut and sleeve. my headers are hedmans the cheapest ones i could find for a 03 camaro. i think this is the same pair christine has, i cant recall if he had any problems or how he mounted his motor. the manifolds i had fit great it was more a matter of doing the exhaust only once. i think a 1/4'' out of the primary tubes on the pass side along with taking 2'' or 3'' from the collector they would fit even better. the drivers side just needs cut and a bend put in it to line up with the crossmember. i cant really complain considering how easy they go in and out, besides who would ever figure an 03 camaro could be wider in any way than a 79 caprice. lol.

When I made Christine engine mounts, Since there is a ton of oom on driver side, I shifted the engine to the driver side so the tube would clear the pass lower a-arm by 1/4 or more inches. I used urethane motor mounts so I knew it would not shift when racing. Looks like you heated the tube close to the frame.

The only problem I had was a small leak. Did u use a MAP sensor with yours, what pill did u use in your ignition box. I ran a -6 from the tank to the pump and to the carb, I also ran a new vent line. U might have a vacuum leak causing your idling problems. What fuel pump do u have?

Your build looking good. Since my car was fuel injected i just capped off the return line and attached the fuel line to the carb. I plugged the map sensor in but I have to get an adapter to fit it in the intake. I capped off every vacuum so I could here it run that night. The exhaust isn't installed.

I think I have to get a fuel regulator, I hope my problem is just that too much gas is going into the carb.

That 700 is longer and my angle was 10 or 15 degrees at the carb mount. How was christines motor placed.Your carb only needs 6-9 psi to run if u had to much pressure it wouldn't run. U can't go wrong with getting a regulator. The only problem I had was the leak, so far. That's not to say it will hit the fan later. The suggestion of the reluctor wheel could b the problem.

still chuggin along. all the wiring is done. i got the drivers side header modified and i had my exhaust mocked up and fitting pretty good. fabbed a bracket for my gauges, im not sure if ill keep my tach were it is but it will do for now. i almost put the tach in the glovebox for a super secret squirrel deal, lol. still thinkin about how to deal with the passenger side header.
