im not too worried lol. its gonna be awhile before i make the power it would take to twist this driveshaft. id be happy with an honest to goodness 600 WHP at this point. its enough to run mid 9s reliably for a long time.

Very nice. Picked mine up yesterday. Pics later today. I just did not want to risk aluminum with the potential for 900+ hp and a transbrake in the future. I am sure it would be fine for now as initially it will be only running at 15 psi until I can finish building the rear end.

Ok another small victory tonight against the Notch and a tip for future installers. If you are using the Lokar throttle cable that has the female clovis end on the pedal side, slip off the old throttle cable and it has a nylon retaining "washer" for lack of a better word. If you take out the throttle cable from the sleeve and slip the cable through this washer, you can use that to hold the Lokar cable in place. I did it tonight and it worked great!
On another note, if you have a Godspeed or similar Ebay throttle body, make dang sure that the throttle cable guide is tightened on to the rod that the throttle blade is attached to very well. The one that I had just had a set screw holding it on to the rod and was not quite in place correctly. When I opened the throttle all the way the spring popped out and the whole assembly just kinda fell off....would be real crappy if this happened going down the road! I am thinking about drilling an indent on the throttle rod so that this is not possible to happen and then using a little locktite to secure everything. Would probably not cause a crash or anything (unless it hung wide open!), but it would definitely be quite annoying. Seems like a bit of a design flaw.
