Parting out '69 Cutlass LSX project: Kooks, Vaporworx, BMR, LY6, L92s, 4L60e
Hey Guys,
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but it makes more sense to put it in conversions since it is all conversion stuff...I will move it if people get upset.
Also want to apologize to all those who have inquired in the past and didn't get a response. I was trying to offload my CTS-V lease instead of getting rid of the Cutlass, but it looks like the person who was supposed to pick it up off me fell through so I am going to keep the V and offload my '69 Cutlass LSX project.
That being said I have a ton of parts that have absolutely minimal wear on them and plan to offload all of it or whatever I can. Most of it is on or in the car and the car is running currently running.
Anyhow, here are the things I would have up for sale. Let me know if you are interested in any of it:
- LY6 with approx. 14000miles on it, Lunati cam and springs, lightly ported L92 heads, LS3 intake and rails, FAST 90mm TB with Lingenfelter 24x to 58x conversion box and Lingenfelter 100mm MAF. LS2 front cover, AutoKraft Oil Pan, ARP everything, rod bolts included. Only negative is a bad thread on the drivers side cylinder head, 1st exhaust manifold bolt which I am repairing this weekend.
$3500 with PSI Conversion harness.
- Built 4L60e transmission, 2600 stall converter. I can give the information of who built it. DiabloFormula racing. Practically brand new and in fantastic shape. Modified case in a few areas for clearance. I believe the panhard bar mounts were removed on the top...only backed the car in and out of garage. Traded a $1800 turbo for it...sell for $1000.
ENGINE AND TRANS FOR $4500.
If I remove the Vette Accessory Drive I will ship the engine and trans for $4500.
I will sell the Vette Accessory Drive separately if new owner of engine doesn't want it for $500. Will not include Balancer.
- GM Warrantee Rebuilt 4L80e with stock converter...brand spankin' fresh. 2003 Silverado 2WD $800 OBO
- Kook's Abody, 2nd gen F body and '64 to 72 Abody, Stainless headers. Brand new, never on car. Best of the best. With ball joint connections. Paid $900 last month, $800 shipped!
- Rick's Vaporworx tank with a 5th Gen Camaro fuel pump (regulator replace with 4th gen for dead head single line set-up); has all the provisions for return-style as well. Also have a CTS-V pump available for those who want to go really big power but will need the Cassanova voltage controller. Comes with pigtail as well.
Looking to get $1200 for it as it was about $1700 with both pumps. Like brand new...works great! Will be difficult to ship but will travel to meet someone for the exchange. Also including wiring harness to interface the pump. Over $150 included. Will sell with both pumps for $1300. Brand new CTS-V pump. Does not include Vaporworx voltage controller as it is currently set up to run with the 5th gen pump.
When it was being built:
- Complete BMR Fabrication Pro-Touring Suspension package - tubular arms, coils, A-body short spindles, Adjustable upper rears, solid lower rears, big sway bars all powder coated red. Bilstein shocks all around. Will add part numbers and pics soon. Paid over $3000 for it...sell for $2200.
- CPP Big Brake kit - manual discs, Red Calipers, 13" front, 12" rear, corvette master cylinder. Great kit like new only stopped car in and out of garage. I believe this was ~$1700. Sell for $1000.
- Boss 338 Rims - black centers, polished rim with Kumho Ecsta ASXs - 255/45-18 fronts and 285/40-18 rears. Practically brand new spent close to $2000 for them...$1200 for all 4. One of the wheels has something on the spoke...I believe it can be removed.
See pics above. I will get better ones for you. Soon.
I am definitely flexible on pricing, but do not send me some ridiculously low obnoxious price and then insult me when I tell you no (example: brand new headers that cost $800 and you offer $300...not gonna happen! I am extremely fair on my prices) and will deliver if close enough.
Clean title on the car, extremely low rust. You want everything come take it for $10000.
Please remember these are installed parts for the most part unless noted and may have some light scratches. Mechanically though, brand spankin' new with less than a 1/4 mile on EVERYTHING except engine with was a very low mileage take out with a ton of goodies on it.
W31lsx<at>gmail<dot>com is the email.
I will post pics throughout the day as well as give you any pics you need. You can see a lot of pics of the car at this link:

As far as shipping, figure approximately $90 per 100lbs X 28% fuel surcharge. That is what ForwardAir is charging me. Where possible I will to my best to get a better rate for you. An example would be the engine and transmission combo. Figure approximately 500 lbs x $90 X 28% fuel surcharge is ~$576 to ship the engine, trans and PCM. I also work with the buyer to help out on shipping where I can.
Thanks,
Dave

Launching!

Dave,
Wow! I cannot believe you are selling off this! I am very sorry that you have to sell it. The coworker of mine who has the Cutlass convertible, is rebuilding it right now. He is not going the LS route, but he may be interested in the rims and tires. I'll pass the info onto him.
Free bump for a great guy- I bought my 78 LS1 TA from Dave.
I wish you the best of luck with the sale Dave...

Sorry guys, located in NJ near Philly.
No worries Leon...there's a reason for everything and I honestly really miss that TA so I am planning on building another one. Most likely it will be a '69 or '70-'73.
For now I will just have to somehow figure out how to enjoy driving this:

Updated with pics. Still have some more to list. Don't hesitate to ask questions.
The shipping quote is for the big stuff. I will work through FedEx, etc...for the smaller stuff.
Thanks,
Dave
