We could finish it in about 2 weeks if we had 100% of our attention and 100% of our funding going towards it. We're just a couple guys, and we need new pistons/assorted other parts to complete it. So a rough guesstimate would be around two months for the V12 and the V4 to be completed.

I don't know too much about tolerances and I'm assuming that it probably is minimal/not an issue, but just something that grabbed my attention.
The original water jacket is still there, just under the surface that we covered up to add strength. As I mention in the walk around video, we still have more machine work to do on the block, that would be something we have left to do.

and subscribed.
Last time we made one we made it from scratch with a lathe and an old crank grinder, and it took about 5-6 weeks of labor. If we were to go that route again we would outsource it and have CNC machines do it, so no idea on that time frame.

Obviously the best route would be to do billet crankshafts, but considering we are changing the firing order we didn't want to invest that much into it. Once we figure out the order we want, and if we decided to produce some, we would definitely use one piece.

We don't want to give too much away, so not too much of the welding or mating process will be released.

The guy has one of the lowest post counts on the forumn, and one of the neatest engines happening. I'm going to start drinking and dreaming. All I can say is WOW !!! neat starting point for a build.

Default V4

Everyone keeps talking about the V4 for a bike. I want it so I can fab some exhaust and intakes to put pressure on it and drop into my Locost project. Make me a long block V4 and don't break my legs with it. I can fab the rest up Make it so Number 1.

I can say this deal is 100% real, I went to Norway to tune the one for the P-51 Mustang. It had a Motec M800 sequential fire COP with stock Cam Sync and a external crank trigger to make it easy.

You can see more pics of the dyno and this engine on my facebook: Brian Macy

I am working on a cheaper solution for EFI with this combo, have come up with something already that will work.

We figured out how to section two stock cranks/cams and create our own firing order, and we cut out about 12 grand in crank/cam creation costs.
HORY SHEET! I'm in love. And I just shat myself.

Nothing says "V12" like a Suburban LOL!

What do you know about cars? Not like you have a quick 66-67 Nova...

Brian has a great company that likes (and is great at) making hp!

So no more shop in Olympia? And I didn't see any of the P-51 pics...

great work, very impressed!

A buddy of mine does this with 2-stroke snow machine engines. Never thought to do it to a 4-stroke car engine though!

I also saw the Fox News article, how cool is that?
