1993 S-10 Project Update
Went out on the road today to warm it up for a few and see if the brakes still wanted to hang up on me a little bit and a truck passed me, when it did I was doing about 40 and had forgot to put in my pin clips for the hood and now my hood is mangled, windshield is smashed, and I have glass all over the interior.

Hood pin holes are drilled and plates installed.
Except for the pathetic coloring, you cant really tell anything happened except for the fact the windshield is still busted all to hell and I cant find the prop rod..
I am trying to get a price on putting in a piece of plexiglass for the S-10 for the windshield, but the lady at the glass shop is absolutely clueless on how to get me a price for one.
I have seen several with them screwed in, but not too sure on the specifics of drilling and securing. I would try riveting it in, but I am worried about the riveting process breaking the plexiglass.
I swapped out a vacuum port to a plug. I started up the truck and it idles MUCH better. It was actually idling at 500 RPM. I also found that one of the coils was unplugged. And now I have to find a cam gear that will actually make the 50cc front pump PUSH HARD. When I got the carb it already had a pink cam on both pumps. Now to get some different cams to fix the problem. I can rev it hard and fast and strong by using my thumb to push the pump arm down. When doing that, there is NO stumble at all.. If I flip the throttle by hand, it barely pushes any out, and its not a hard stream like the secondary pump does. And it is only a 30cc. If I can get a different cam, and fix the windshield, I should be set to go racing.
$145.33 installed in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Bad part is I am not working right now. I am trying to sell both my laptop and netbook to
fix the S10 and be able to get to and from my new job once the Ford is fixed and running.
I cant drive the S-10 round trip cause it is 100 miles each way. And with a 4000 nitrous stall converter in it
it runs at 3000 rpms from about 45 to almost 60...

An installed
Dang tube of glue to put it in is like 20 buck lol
Good to see that tornado wasn't in your area of Arkansas bud
My heart goes out them, i can't image losing my home or a loved one like that
Not too many people would want it except for the fact that it is already running and 99% complete. And then they would try to practically steal it from under me.
So even if it sits for a month or two to get finished, it is staying. Hell, I have $1000 in JUST the wheels and slicks and skinnies.. This is the VERY FIRST vehicle I have gone through this much effort and time and commitment for. And honestly, I would be hard pressed to not trade it for a good condition mustang and put an EFI 4.8 or 5.3 in it with a 4L80e.. Hell, before I left my job, I started looking around for a fox body or SN95 mustang (87-98 models, for those who don't know what the SN 95 is, its the 94-98 models).
Yeah, its a pain in the *** when stupid **** like the windshield happens. But when it is COMPLETELY done and ready to run, I think I will be quite thrilled. I will really be happy when I make that first nitrous pass and it goes off without a hitch. I have a bottle in the truck now that has about 9 pounds in it and I spent quite a bit of money getting that bottle ready like I wanted it.
I got a set of carb cams in to fix the really bad bog it had from idle to full throttle..
Got the one recommended changed onto it today, and below is a video of the results.
If it's some dinky little sideways video, BLAME YOUTUBE!!!!
Them idiots are ******* with WAY TOO MUCH **** when it comes to videos..
I uploaded a straight and easy to view HD video...
Give me a few, I am changing it on my computer and will re-upload it.
See if that fixes what its thinking is sideways video.
