At least I know I am not the only crazy person around. If you look, I even swapped the bolts holding the steam crossover pipe. Moronic...

So...McMaster Carr is pretty awesome. I get parts from there in 2 days.
I got all the bolts that I needed to make everything the same.
I got the alternator bracket, alternator and the idler pulley installed:
I even got new bolts for the thermostat housing and the tentioner pulley bracket:
I also got some new nutsert flanged nuts for the throttle body:
I am also going to use the same nuts to torque down the intake:
This is a view of the valve cover with the alternator mounted.
I might be over sharing, but WTH...

I hope it runs as well as it looks! I use mcmaster too. shipping speeds are amazing. If I order by evening MON to TH, it comes the next day. Almost instant gratification

I think absolutely it will be worth it. I will have cunningham motorsports tune mine. they do drivability, dyno tuning, including tuning the 6L80 for $550
My stock L92 with just 2 1/2" dual exhaust and LS3 exhaust manifolds smells pig rich at idle (eyes water). I know the AFRs are off and I kept the same cam, VVT and intake snorkel and stock filter housing.
I need to build an AL intake snorkel so they can tune with that installed. Then I'll book the tune.
After, I could offer more definitive input, though.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I am considering having it put on the engine dyno.

The only two sets of wires that have to run to the front of the engine are for the cam sensor and the temp sensor. I was originally going to run them down the middle of the valley, but them decided to run then behind the head, down, behind the exhaust manifold, and above the motor mounts. There are several unused holes in the block, but the holes are 10mm and the cushioned clamps that I got don't have holes that big in them or room to drill them bigger.
So I went to the hardware store and picked up a couple of short stainless 10mm bolts. I then drilled a hole in the head, took one of my short 6mm cap screws, ground down the head, welded it together, and created my own bolt/stud.
I realize that the stud is not centered (the second one turned out better) but it's not like this thing will be under a lot of strain.
I used heat shrink to cover the cam wires and the temp sensor wires and ran them all the way to the front.
This keeps the wires out of the way and protected.

Decided to bust out the DBW harness to see how it looks. Holley has warnings all over this harness that it should not be shortened or modified in any way because the wires run down a shielded and grounded conduit. It looked alright, but I decided to run it through some expandable nylon sleeve. I then used some cushioned clamps that I mounted to the intake to make the loom look almost like two big fuel lines. I think it turned out pretty decent.
I had some old plug wire loom banging around my tool box, so I hit them real quick with the wire wheel and they cleaned up pretty well.
Couldn't resist sticking the bug catcher on top to see how it will all look together.
