In the case of fingerprints acquired during installation, you can just wipe down the headers with a terry cloth or micro fiber towel and all will be well.

Hello Larry. The use of a 4th-gen F-body accessory drive set-up is only possible on the 68-72 A-body application when using the rear-bias Hooker engine brackets. Even though the alternator mounting bracket on the GTO is similar to the one on the F-body cars, the GTO alternator itself, and the pulley are larger than the F-body parts, so I don't believe you will have luck fitting them even with the rear bias engine brackets. In your case, you'll need to re-configure your alternator/PS pump using FEAD brackets from Holley or other sources. You can also possibly swap over to the stock F-body components if they suit your needs.

You want the holley 20-143 kit. If you don't need the all the parts you can get them a la carte as well. If you don't need it all you're in luck because the kit has been back ordered for months. Ask me how I know.

I put the same engine in my 66 GTO and had the same issues as you are having, I was getting a custom stand alone harness made by Speartech. I still used the GTO ECU which is a E40, I just told Speartech I would be using a f-body alternator and they made my harness with the correct f-body alternator plug.

You can use the f-body alternator in place of the GTO alternator, the f-body alternator is smaller and gives you the needed clearance, it will bolt right in with the existing GTO front bracket, the rear bracket has to be changed to the f-body rear alternator bracket, they are available for around $15-$20on eBay. I sold my GTO alternator and recouped most of the cost of buying the f-body alternator and rear bracket, after all said and done the alternator swap cost me around $40.00

That would be a great way to go if he is willing to switch to using the Hooker rear-bias engine brackets. That will unfortunately also lead to far more tunnel work required to fit his T56 trans.

Sent off my crossmember to Jegs today. Hopefully I get the correct one this time. Tired of sending back and re-ordering parts.

I got the replacement crossmember in today from Jegs. I'm guessing this is the correct one?

Not sure if this has been gone over yet but does anyone know what the best throttle cable to run with the forward position mounts and a edelbrock or Holley high ram manifold? Should I get a f-body ls1 throttle cable?
