Default 69-72 GM A-Body dual pass radiator hoses

What are people using for their upper and lower radiator hoses using a dual pass radiator? I looked at my local parts store with some mock up bent wire but i couldn't did ones that had the right bend. I ended up buying the flex hose but my upper hose has been pulling at the clamp because of the flex in it.

I used the original BBO lower hose, but that was on the Original 72 radiator.
See post 96.

I just did this and I think the sticker is still on it, I will try to remember to check when I get home.

I reused my lower hose which was used with a ls1 and stock radiator but I don't remember what it was made for. I want to say some kind of Jeep. It was recommended in one of the oldest LS Abody swap threads on this site

Do you have a photo of what it looks like on the engine?

I used this to join two pieces to get the right shape (and mount my steam vent and a temp sensor) http://www.autometer.com/1-to-1-1-4-...e-adapter.html
Think I paid $30 or something for it. There are cheaper ones but I wanted the stepped ends in case I had to use hoses of different diameters temporarily.

I used a NAPA 7499 lower hose...

This 9070 also fit, but I didn't like it as well as the one above...

I just got back from O'Reilly looking for an upper radiator hose. I took a picture of my setup now and did measurements and went in with that. I found one that's basically perfect. It's a Master Pro 20795 hose. It has basically the perfect bend. It wants to flex one way is just slightly but not much. Now I just need to put my new clamps on and fill it back up.

CattleAc- I like the look of that NAPA 7499 hose. I might have to go get one of those too so I don't have any flex hoses and I don't have to worry so much.

Yeah...flex hoses are not only hard on the eyes...they are very hard on radiator necks.

I have to apologize...I got my part #'s turned around...the 9070 was the one I finally went with...

How come you decided to do with the other one? The other one looks like it doesn't sit on the frame like the 9070 one does. Do you know what vehicles these hoses were for? I searched the part numbers on Napa but they don't give an application guide like some sites do.

Wanted to add to this thread. Installed my radiator and hoses today. I used Napa part #'s 8991 (top) and 9070 (lower), as have others. Had to cut both, but they fit well. My radiator is the Be Cool ls swap radiator.
