Fantastic build! Your car is very similar to the vision I have for my own Chevelle, currently in body/paint jail. Did you spec your new rear end to factory dimensions for width? I would also like to know your wheel/tire specs, specifically offset. Beautiful car!

yes, I had strange spec the rear for a stock width. Switching from drums to disc brought the wheeels in a hair though, maybe a 1/4” at most. The wheels are U.S Mags and if you check out their website they only make 1 size offset/bs wheel for this bolt pattern for some reason. 18x8 up front and an 18x9.5 in the rear on a GM bolt pattern. I think the rears are 4 3/4 bs?

Anyone with a similar car/combo- I weighed the car and after all the changes only added 60lbs of weight over the 283/pg/10 bolt combo from last year. Even better, I’m a relocated battery away from a 50/50 weight balance front and rear. Which is why I think the car handles great for what it is.

That's great. Out of curiosity, how much did your front ride height change with the LS as opposed to the small block?

I did coil overs at the same time as the swap so I don’t know. Here’s the weight ticket with the old setup.

Replaced the rubber motor mounts with dirty dingo solid ones. Not a second too soon. Damn thing fell in half as soon as I pulled it off. Hope this fixes my trans downshifting ghost. Running poly on trans.

It’s a blast with the solid motor mounts. Doesn’t pull column shifter down and downshift anymore lol.

Catch can installed. Bought it off another forum, it’s for a G8. This thing didn’t fit without a little custom work. . Let’s take a look....

There’s a bottom bolt there behind the water pump.

Had to cut my Allen key to tighten it.

Then once installed, my coil cover hit it. Had to cut a whole corner slice.

Finished job. Extra work, but love that it’s hidden.

Mr. Bu
How much rumble the the car have during idle? The video made it seem pretty quiet and fairly smooth. Can you refresh us what your exhuast consists of?

thanks,
