Default Anyone see any issues with my remote bleeder location?

Hi there,

I posted some pictures of my remote bleeder setup and had someone ask if I would have any issues with having the bleeder lower than where it is stock. I have seen several people mount in this location, but I am now second guessing myself. Anyone see any potential issues having it mounted here? This is the mounting tab right behind where the clutch hydraulics come through the bellhousing and main case.

Any input would be appreciated as I should be putting the drivetrain back together in the next few weeks and if I need a longer bleeder I would rather swap them out now.

Thanks,
Ryan

If you have a one way bleed valve on it, it doesn't matter. You can simply run a hose up to the reservoir to pump all air out if you're not doing a fluid changeout.

Now, why you would force yourself under your car to do a quick bleed on it when you could stay underhood is up to you.

Thanks for all of the replies! I'm more concerned with routing the remote bleeder line in a neat fashion than getting under the car. I have access to a lift, so getting under the car isn't an issue.

Does anyone know where I can get one of those one way bleeders for this? The fitting on the end is 1/8" NPT. I searched around, but only found the ones like I have now.

I replaced the assembly that you have with a "speed bleed" fitting and didn't have much luck with it. It just would not bleed. Installed the other fitting back and it's been fine.

The fitting may be 1/8 NPT, but double check the final valve bleeder screw to see if it isn't M6 x1. 0 thread; aftermarket one-way brake bleed valves are pretty easy to find if you know the thread.

Why not mount it somewhere up high so you dont need to get under the vehicle to bleed it ?

I'm with stevieturbo. I always mount mine on the driver's side fender which means with a helper I can bleed the clutch using minimal tools in a hotel parking lot if necessary. Not that I've needed to do this... or maybe I have...
