It's because ignition control is assumed. It wouldn't be much of a system if it didn't control the timing.

Trying to determine if I should order the max. I plan on doing boost control trans brake and possibly a fuel pressure sensor unless there is another failsafe method in case I lose a pump? I'll also have to have fan control also since I'm pulling the stock ecu correct?

Fuel pressure wiring is built into the harness. If you lose fuel pressure it will ramp up the injectors to try and compensate but it can only do so much. You can put in your own failsafe with something like IDC>100% revert to wastegate, cut timing etc...

Fan control is built in but yes need to use an output to trigger the relay. For trans brake get the Holley adapter so you don't backfeed the ECM.

Slow Sedan has it exactly right.

I would encourage you to download the terminator X software and see what options are available. In case of pump failure and fuel going lean, you can enable various safety protocols. The ECU will attempt to compensate for the decrease in fuel flow up to the programmed closed loop compensation limits (this is user defined). Personally, I would do a simple failsafe where ignition is cut if fuel pressure goes below a certain point.

Thanks guys! The system is very flexible and many of the advanced functions can only be accessed through the laptop software. The handheld is fine to get you started, but a laptop and software is really the way to go to get optimal results.

I will make another one tomorrow. The videos are not meant to be a tuning guide, but more as explanations of all the features that are built into the software (and hardware).

Just the fact that one has the choice to go as simple OR as sophisticated as desired makes it such a wonderful swap component.

It looks like the 112-588 throttle body uses a Chrysler IAC so the plug will need to be changed. I don't have the software installed for the Terminator X but on the other Holley systems are capable of selecting it.

So is it just as easy as swapping the iac plug or is the Terminator x not capable of working with the Chrysler iac?

Holley uses the Chrysler IAC on those TBs become they have a larger diameter plunger, thus they flow more. I believe they function the same as the LS IACs, but the plugs are different, and also the pinout is different. I would consult the different Holley wiring diagrams for details. Better yet, put an adapter on your intake and run DBW with the Terminator X Max. DBW opens a lot of tuning and advanced table options.

I used an adapter ring that I got from Mast Motorsports. I don't see it on their website, but they may still sell them. Give them a call and ask.
