You can use the truck alternator with the Holley high mount alternator bracket, which also tucks the PS pump into a better location. The High mount can be spaced out and used with the truck balancer.

Was lucky enough to find a ICT relocate kit local to me from someone changing their accessory set up. I didn't want to pay $400+/- for a new one, so this works out good for me. Still has to come off their vehicle, so likely Wednesday I'll have that. That particular kit doesn't work with a gen 4 water pump but a buddy has one to swap. Driveshaft getting measured and ordered today. Downpipe is getting fabbed today. Things are getting very close to being wrapped up.

Update on the local relocation kit that I found...

Turns out buddy is just ghosting me after we had set a plan Monday evening. So I ordered a smaller pulley that'll be here tomorrow and going to try and go forward with that, this is really about the only hang up I have left, downpipe and exhaust should most likely be wrapped up today / tomorrow.

Hoping to fire this thing by the weekend anyways.

Time will tell!

Once I actually locked in time to do it, things move along! Had some big help as well which obviously made progress faster.

This is one of the reasons why I want to see if I can mount my turbo further back. Something like having the turbine housing just forward of the passenger side head.

Be interested to see what you figure to step it back to the area you're talking about. I agree that it'll be a better location than where mine landed and unless you do something different, you'll end in the same location.

If you're using double 90s, you can definitely roll the second one towards the firewall a little and land in a better spot.

That might mess up where you want your o2 sensor. Regardless I'll be watching your thread for where you decide to go.

I got this 135 degree bend:

It will be the first piece to come off the turbo log outlet. Then the plan is to use pie cuts to snake around to the turbine inlet. I am keeping my fingers crossed...LOL

What water pump do you have? Keeping heat?

I placed my WG off of one of the 90s and the outlet of the WG makes routing those lines tricky.

If you look at my last engine vat picture, you see my heater lines kind of laying on the coils. I'm going to end up getting longer lines and routing those towards the pass fender and running them under the downpipe.

Im using a gen 4 truck water pump.

Just more food for thought for you.

It's the Holley mid-mount system. Yes, heat and AC.

Well, if the snail pulls enough heat energy out of the exhaust it might be mellow enough to be publicly presentable!
Plus, I doubt backpressure to be an issue...

That's the thought. I really think it'll be fine until I'm on the loud pedal.
Then it's all smiles anyways.

Just hoping for no drone or anything silly during highway crusing.

Downpipe finished and wrapped. Maybe going for a start up tomorrow, have to install downpipe, wire starter and essentially fill fluids.

I think I'll be hitting the dyno in a week it seems. Getting pretty excited.

It sure does! Few found issues but nothing too serious. Tentatively scheduled to hit the dyno Thursday, so I won't get any seat time in until after that. Hopefully weather is as nice or nicer than it forecasts so I can get some shakedown miles in.
