Default Been a while on the updates. So I guess I should show you guys what i have been doing

I will explain the update first then i will show what i have for sale. I decided instead of getting a different frame to put a 1998 corvette drivetrain under my 1957 chevy truck. I am using the 1998 corvette C5 front suspension, rear independent suspension, motor, tranny, exhaust, wheels, tires, brakes, torque tube, sway bars both front and rear, power steering, power brake booster, master cylinder, fuel tank, steering column with telescopic and steering wheel, pretty much everything from a 1998 corvette. I do have pics and I also have some stuff for sale. If someone will host pics I have some available. E-mail me at bubba-22@excite.com

Stuff for sale.

Ford 9 inch rear end housing and 28 spline axles.

Brand new set of Billet Specialties wheels GTP53's in 17 inch 315 rear tires 255 front.

1998 Camaro LS1 motor, tranny, wiring harness, ecu, driveshaft. And will have a start-up warranty.

Also have a 1978 chevy suburban front suspension with 12 inch brakes from a 1990 Camaro 1LE package. 12 inch brakes but with small chevy lug pattern.

Thanks for looking and let me know if you can host some pics.

Where are you located and what are the holes and spacing on the wheels?

the front wheels are 17x8 i believe and they are for a small chevy bolt pattern 5x4.5 the rears are 17x11 and they are dual bolt pattern one is ford 9 inch truck rearend but i have no clue what the other is. maybe chevy truck. I dont know. Also the tires are brand new less then a 100 miles on a show truck. I also have a 1978 chevy suburban IFS that will bolt directlu up to your 68 if it is a chevy truck. Bcause it is on a 68 chevy truck frame at this minute. I have other stuff ask me and I will let you know.

Thanks. I'd like to see the '57. Not many people using the C5 suspension on trucks yet. Upload your pics in photobucket and post a link. I dig the AD's. Wanted a 55-57, but the '61 fell into my lap. Lot's of nice 55-59's out there at shows and in mags. Not as many nice 60-66's (cause they're kinda ugly to begin with). I think I'll have that worked out when I'm done

Sweet! You grafted in the frame sections for the upper arms and shock mounts. I like that. That motor is going to sit LOW compared to the body if you mount the body on top of the frame. You might want to consider a body drop if you haven't already. That's why I cut the floor out of mine and used the vette floor. Now my rockers are the lowest part of the truck except suspension and wheels. Keep the us posted!

Nice projects guys!

Frizzle, how much clearance are you seeing from the C5 side frame rails to the truck cab floor pan. Seeing the projects you guys are doing, is making me want to do it to my 70 shortbed

I'll take some pics of that area and the body mounts I'm making and post in another thread. There's a couple inches between the frame rails and the rockers (lateral). There's all the clearance in the world to the truck floor because it's not there... I am using the composite C5 floor which is flush with the bottom of the frame and removed the truck floor.

I also have a 1969 2wd Suburban factory 396. Love 67-72s! I was talking to a guy on 67-72chevytrucks.com the other day about doing a Blazer. No wheelsbase adjustment required: C5=104.5 69-72 Blazer=104.

Quick Reply: Been a while on the updates. So I guess I should show you guys what i have been doing
