Conversion folks please list your conversion in here
I have a 1995 Firebird that had a 3.4 v-6. we have converted it to a 2000 Ram Air LS1. It wasn't a very easy task. Just had a cam installed and dyno tuned at 380/382 at the wheels. Wanted more but ok for now. I can't seem to keep the rearend and tranny together. Broke last night at the track. Did a 1.509 60ft, at a 6.879et at 104.2mph on a 100 shoot of n20, MT ET Street Radials Stock 10 bolt and stock tranny with a 3800 stall.
I installed a 98 TA LS1 into my 74 Vette with a t56 tranny and I just finished the project. I started the project my senior year in high school in 2000. Man the wait was worth it. I will admit that at the time I was WAY over my head. I love the mileage that thing gets over the old L82 motor that was in it.

Just watch out for the Vette purists (not here, but in real life) cuz they will have a cow when they see/hear about that.
Congrats on getting the project done though.
1967 el camino with global west front suspension.
Bought a totaled 1998 z-28 w/6 speed, and grafted in the firewall and trans. tunnel so I could use the console, dash board, pedals, a/c etc. I have also used the gas tank, and all the stock pulleys and brackets. I moved the engine to the rear, and was able to use the stock oil pan too. It has required frame modifications to clear a/c compressor and oil pan. It has been a giant pain in the ***. But what do you do when you've put so much time into it.
I started the project in the spring of 2002.
The worst thing about it is that when I am all done, I will be the proud(?) owner of an el camino the very few people will like.
I plan on auto cross racing it when I am done, and using it as my daily driver.
great fourm
6 years into project. Have not made time or had extra money to finish.
I hope to renew the plates next month and drive it some while I start on the body work crap.
I have been dreaming of a next project with installing the lsx into BMW 3 series or ??

The goals listed are goals. The best to date (10.86@133) is actual with normal street tires, (Goodyear F1) 0-60 I've done, 0-100 a 6.1 so far.
It weighs 2210# full of fuel.
Engine is 11.2: comp, Heads and Cam, no cats, GM Racing Computer, etc.

Waiting for car to be finished at the body shop before I can start on conversion. My baby was rear ended by an idiot with no license in a nissan pickup that was already headed for the wrecking yard.

1977 BMW 530i
T56 trans, custom jet hot headers, rack and pinion from an E30, LS6 cam, LS1EDIT modified ECU, straight duals (no cats), Audi Turbo Quattro Locker (dash activated) rear, Fuel Cell, Rewired using Painless 12 circuit hot rod harness and LS1 Harness, Vintage Air system, adjustable front camber/caster, Bilstein sports, lowered, lightened to 2300 ilbs. Cut out the firewall and trans tunnel to move the engine as far back and down as I could. Motor is much lighter than the M30 BMW motor it replaced. Got about another 3 or 4 weekends before it fires up.

Cool to see all the LS1 conversions out there. I had no idea there were so many
I have been working on a Ferrar F-150 kit car for a little while now. No where near complete, but the process is fun. The kit had the Datsun 6 and 5sp and it is being replaced with a 98 LS1/T56. LONG way off, but like I said it is fun so far!
