hope im posting this right i am a newbie and would like to say hello. i have acquired an ls3 6.2 from a 2011 camaro ss from work and wanting to swap into my 99 z28 with an ls1. my questions start with engine harness choices can i modify the existing ls1 harness or just buy a new one. im going with a cable throttle body instead of electric. i have a long block that ive lightly modified ported heads, cam swap, dual vavle springs. stock intake. havent got headers yet any advise on a good set has texas speed exhaust on the ls1 true dual with bullets dumped before axle, can i reuse on ls3? can i use all the ls1 accessories? and any other things i might need to make this as easy as possible. ive heard all these ls swap into a previous ls car are a breeze.
I am putting an L33 into a 1971 Valkyrie kit car. Plans include a junkyard turbo build with a DIY water meth injection kit. Shooting for 550 hp and 2000 pounds after I get the cage in. $5000 budget is going fast LOL
1980 Corvette with LS3 converted from L92. Installed "hot cam"equivalent and Melrose long tube headers. Added stage 2 4L60E tranny rated 500hp and Sanden cmpressor/AC system. It has a PCM For Less tune which has worked well but plan a dyno tune soon.
here it is,

67 Firebird, 1st we did an LQ4 6.0 with a T56, using bone-stock junkyard motors the first one lasted about a month, the second did good until we put a magnacharger on it, then when we picked it up from the tuner, found out it had been 2 quarts low on oil, and before we knew we had spun the front main bearing. We got it home and installed the third motor and ended up doing a cam swap on it and sent it back to the tuner guy and it was dynoed at 540hp at the wheels and it still runs strong. Never being satisfied with it, we removed the perfect-running 6.0 and bought a brand-new LSX 454 crate motor to install. This was the first LS7 style engine we had delt with so there was a lot to learn on it... including finding out that the ls7 has a 58 tooth relict or wheel, and the 03-06 harness that we were using on it reads off of a 24 tooth wheel, after buying a little tiny box that costs $250 from lingenfelter to convert it, the car is now running, naturally aspirated (we had to send the supercharger off to California to get the bottom plate changed to fit on the ls7) just got it back from the tuner Friday and WOW what a beast this thing is! I would never believe the torque this engine has! My normal tuner guy was busy so I had someone else do it and he only got 572hp out of it, when the engine alone without bolt-ons is supposed to start at 620hp.. So we are impatiently waiting for the the mangacharger to return! More to come!

Please list:
1) Vehicle receiving the swap

3) Link to pics if you have any
We can create a list and link it to the top of this forum as a guide.
I wanted to thank everyone who has gotten the word out about this particular forum, I wasn't sure if it would have an audience but it appears that there is one.
Bonus points if you have info or pics of that 59 Cadillac converstion with the turbocharged LS1 from New Jersey!!!!
