I would find out the circumstances under which it quit running. Might narrow down where to look
the wiring harness was completely taken off. When I made a time to go look it was the day after I messaged him and he said “last night after you messaged me I went outside to try to hook up the harness and get it running for you but ran out of daylight” the story ads up cause sunset was about 30 mins after my message and with what he had done the engine was cranking when he turned the key. Just didn’t start.... should I take the wires off and try to do it myself? I have never had to hook up the harness myself before so treat this as if you are talking to someone who’s never seen a car please lol

Opinions, links to parts and good deals, advice are all welcomed!
Things to do:
Building 6.0 to replace SBC
TH400 or 4L80E to replace TH350
GM 12 bolt to replace 10 bolt
Disc brakes - hydroboost
Front and rear suspension
Mid frame stiffeners
Wheels and tires
Fuel system
Parts still needed for 6.0 build:
Square port heads
Cam - valve train
Injectors
Fuel system
Turbo manifold - like the FSP manifold
Holley EFI
Oil pump and pan
Engine mounts
Throttle body
Intercooler
Parts I have for 6.0 build:
6.0 iron block
Stock LQ4 crank
LS3 intake, injectors, fuel rails
On order forged pistons and rods
VSR 7875 next gen billet turbo
Turbo Smart 50mm wastegate
I almost want to go twin 7875's. Just not sure. Might see how the single does and possibly go bigger if needed. The 7875 should have no lag and be very torquey. I don't really have a HP number I mind. I'm sure the single is plenty.
Undecided about TH400 or 4L80E. I don't make long trips on interstates. Would like the OD and lockup, but some of the 4L80' are pricey compared to a 400.
Holley EFI. Terminator X? HP? Dominator? If I have the extra money, I'm going dominator. Just depends how quickly I want to get this project done.
Fuel system - Fuel cell, flex fuel, water meth injection.
1977 Corvette. Mostly Cruiser, Occasional Drag Car.

6.0 LS1 with forged pistons and rods.
1000cc Injectors, Walbro Hellcat 525LPH Fuel Pump with dual feed fuel rail
Surge tank
Speedmaster intake, F body Oil pan
4L80E, forged input shaft and drum, dual feed direct, 2nd and 3rd accumulator delete
Ford 8.8 with 9" internals and axles on 4 link suspension with dual adjustable shocks.
Volvo Electric power steering
Denso hairpin digital alternator
Volvo brushless digital coolant fan
LED headlights
4" aluminum sidepipe exhaust.
AEM Infinty engine management.
A/C in progess.
DIY Arduino touch screen with Cruise, Sport, Burnout and Drag driving modes. PWM controls for: 4L80E, coolant fan, Intercooler fans, trans cooler fan, oil cooler fan, alternator, surge fuel pump, primary fuel pump, no wastegate boost control.
Not sure if I've posted an intro here yet. We have a 1947 DeSoto Custom Sedan with a LS1 and a 4L60E transmission. I'll post some pix up later.
The car's name is Elvis. Elvis lived in Cuba most of his life, and he had the LS1/4L60E installed by a shop in Miami that was really, really good at interior, upholstery and paint.
1992 GMC K1500
Bored and stroked an L59 out from 5.3l to 6.3l, looking at doing a built 4L80 or 4L65 for it. Going back and forth between changing up the interior or restoring it - we'll see what happens

1) 90 Isuzu Pickup
2) 5.3L LS1 (Vortec); 4L60E
3) A few photos, although not as nice as some of these projects.
4) Progress is slow. Pretty much a one man show. Getting closer though.

Reason: Recording correct year of truck
1941 Studebaker that I bought in early 1964. Drove it stock for a number of years. Stored for a number of years. Mid 2000 had a fatman mustang II front end installed along with sb chevy engine and st-10 transmission and a Ford rear end. Sat for a while. Then last year I picked up a LM7 with harness and ECU. So that motivated me again. Had to get new parts to adapt the trans to the new engine. So the engine and transmission are now mounted. New parts for the McLeod hydraulic throw out bearing. New bottom for original fuel tank. Finished routing new fuel lines from in tank fuel pump to corvette style fuel filter/regulator and new fuel line forward to near the engine.
Currently the body is off. I need to pull the third member to check the gear ratio. I’m getting ready to make up brake lines to the adapted Cadillac rotors and calipers on the housing. Then I can put the body back on, install the front group to get a feel for the odds and ends. proud 2nd owner
