If you want a bunch more low end torque, unload that LS9 cam. It is totally unsuited for a 5.3 engine, or any naturally aspirated engine for that matter. Get an LQ9 cam (also used in later LQ4). and you will gain power everywhere.
This will be a quick update. The car now has 40,000 miles...all trouble free. I replaced the original Z06 intake with an Edelbrock Victor Jr manifold, Edelbrock fuel rails with the stock GM injectors topped with a Holley Sniper throttle body. I am now running 3.50 gears in my 9 inch Ford rear and a TruTrac lsd.

Sorry, I was a bit misleading here. I was originally on this forum while building my car back almost 20 years ago. My user name was “Oscar Will” at that time and all my posts will be found there. I wish I could link them but never figured that out. I had quite a few posts. This is my first post under Retrorod (My user name on several other boards).

I had already bought the old Chevelle body and had it stashed at my cabin property. I purchased a 2013 LSA engine and transmission from a Cadillac CTS-V. End of September i bought a Oldsmobile Cutlass drag car project that had stalled 10 years ago.
Ditched the Cutlass body and my old chassis and started my new build. My Instagram name is waynecooper33933418 & should be a link to pictures if you want to take a look.
We have been busy these last 3 months. Got the Chevelle body mounted on the Cutlass pro-street chassis. Replacement quarter panel patches installed on both sides, new back panel between tailights, and rear filler panel behind back glass. LSA engine and transmission installed including new driveshaft. Got the floor all put back in (completely cut out old floor and firewall. New custom tank is installed. Exhaust is completed back to rearend. Next week we will finish that all the way to the back bumper.
I am needing some information on fuel delivery. I have an in tank pump (actually has two pumps in it) capable of delivering enough fuel for 1100HP, so i know it has adequate capabilities but wondering about fuel lines, and rails. Done a few LS projects already but never any supercharged units.
I'll try to get a few pictures posted soon.
