You list your conversion here, not ask advice. Post in the regular Conversions forum.

Default 243 heads with a TSP lq9 cam package

If I threw some 243 heads on an lq9 and bought a cam package would I need to replace the valve springs too that comes with the cam or would the 243 valves be fine since im changing from a 317 to a 243?

This is where you LIST a conversion, NOT ask advice on parts choices. Go to Conversions and Hybrids to do this.

You will get more replies if you post your questions either in a new thread or one that is along the same line as your question. This thread is for people to post what they are working on or have completed, not for tech questions.

Oops, someone beat me to it!

L99(LS3 automatic variant with VVT and AFM) with a six speed 6L80E out of a 2011 Camaro SS along with electrical and other pieces. I had to convert the transmission from a 2WD car output shaft to 4WD truck output shaft.
Dropped into a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited - The engine mounts from Dave's Customs Unlimited I used are listed for Generation III engines, but Generation IV engines as far as I know uses the same mounting dimensions. It worked fine.
Rebuilt the NV231 transfer case with bigger components and swap the input shaft to mate it to the 6L80E using a Novak adapter.
The hardest part was all the time spent figuring out the correct engine brackets to use. I started with Holley brackets, but they were too wide. I ended up with ICT Billet brackets that tucked the AC compressor and alternator in closer.
I did all of the wiring, harness grooming, and conversion. I kept the Body Control Module(BCM) to run the added door locks, retain factory GM security keys, keyless entry, and a bunch of other stuff. I tossed the stock computer and the instrument cluster gets its data translated from GMLAN to Chrysler PCI with a Scarlet Performance unit.

The Jeep is getting better gas mileage compared to the stock 4.0L with the Chrysler 42RLE automatic. I need to get more data, but it is fluctuating between 18 to 22 MPG right now.

I have a summary thread with pictures over on the Wrangler Forum: https://www.wranglerforum.com/f322/l...j-2340899.html

1967 Camaro Convertible
2005 LS1/4L60
Will edit to pics soon. I bought a project that was started by someone else. I am an old school gear head, but this my first LS swap, and I am trying to sort out what was done and with what parts. My plan is to complete it this winter. Hoping I can get a lot of info on LS1Tech forums to help figure it out!

Default 91 foxbody getting a 6.0

Howdy guys sooo I've got a 91 fox lx that's very straight and gutted from a buddy for free. I picked up a lq4 6.0 for 1200$ with 124k miles on it and the 4l60e. After alot of thought I'm gonna just go with a carb instead of efi..I'm gonna keep this swap as simple as I can ..a few questions I have before buying a tube k member kit for my swap from aje. Do they have motor mounts that bolt right up to the 6.0 ? Should I ditch the 4l60 and go with something stronger? I'll be keeping the 8.8 axle in the rear as well.so I'll have to make a driveline to run both flanges.pics to come and I'll start a build thread by this weekend

2011 Jeep Rubicon JKU
2016 L83 mated with an 8L90 that's adapted to a 241J.

Not going the typical kit, so wanted to have a place to detail what I did so if I ever needed to come back to a reference or ask questions in a place familiar with these engines.

Build in process

1957 Chevy Handyman 2 door Wagon, 5.3l with LS6 Cam, LS6 Intake, otherwise stock. 4l60e

Body is off frame right now. Motor and tranny are trial fitted into frame. Waiting on aftermarket wiring harness I ordered. Tranny will have to come back out for rebuild and new torque convertor. Body is ready to put back on frame after I get the wiring, exhaust, brake and fuel lines done. C6 Vette Z51 brakes on both ends. New Quick Performance 9" with 370 Yukon Posi and CalTracs.
