Here is a picture of my headers. I bought the driver's side done and made the passenger side. They are 1.75".

Also, an update to oil pans.... LS2 pan will work with a little more cutting of the frame. The pictures show that it really fits rather well. I need to do a little more trimming and then start strengthening it back up. I wish I hadn't already cut it for the truck pan. Oh well, nothing I can't fix.

That looks very interesting. Looks like the top of the crossmember could be trimmed out and boxed back up. I would much rather do that since you gotta notch it for the truck pan anyway. You would have to cut the pan down either.

Definitely keep us updated on that. I'm assuming that's an LS2 'vette pan, right?

Yep, it's a vette LS2 pan. The top of the crossmember is all that really needed to be trimmed. I wouldn't have had to cut it out for the drop of the truck pan. Oh well. I'll take pictures of the crossmember when I pull the motor back out too. Nope, no trimming on the pan either. Looks like this one will be better than the truck pan. My truck is a 94 so it doesn't have the rack and pinion. Don't know if that would change anything or not.

how far below the frame (if any) does the vette pan hang?

My third picture from the right shows that it doesn't hang down at all. It's actually an inch or so short from the bottom of the frame.

Do you know how much of a difference there is between the c6 and the fbody oilpan?Just wondering if its worth it to switch to a c6 oilpan when I've got an fbody pan allready.

C6 LS2 oil pan (has shallow rear sump) (kit with bolts/gasket) = 12581810
C6 LS2 oil pick-up screen (same used on LS6) = 12558750
C6 LS2 dipstick = 12570788
C6 LS2 dipstick tube = 12570787
I just priced these #'s at gmpartsdirect and it came to 313.23 shipped But if I did the 5.3 oilpan I would only have about 3 inches of clearance with my drop.So I guess the piece of mind is worth it.

This will be my last off topic post but what you said makes no sense to me in any other way. It made no sense that you quoted me when i was talking about building headers, and then said it wouldnt be nice for what i was building them for (You also made no reference to a 4 cylinder) . So i appologize if that really is what you meant by saying rice but i cant figure out what the hell you are talking about and to me it just seemed like you were calling my truck rice. I appologize, my intent wasnt to start anything, and sorry for getting off subject. (new to ls1's yes, new to s-10's Hell no)
