Wow this is great a set of big tube headers from a well known mfgr and a factory pan that fits with less cutting, still maintains proper oil capacity and has plenty of ground clearence..too cool...Im so glad I didn't cut my frame yet. Hey 82 or Ace do either of you know if Sanderson is going to offer those headers ceramic coated? Let us know how they fit

Thats about the clearance i have with the stock camaro pan, of course i moved the motor so far back that i tubbed a third of the firewall and the camaro pan fit without cutting anymore of the crossmember than everyone else does (but thats ok because the farther back the better for wieght transfer). I have an inch and a half between the skid plate and the bottom of the oil pan. How much does that vette pan have?

I think they do offer them coated, they were a little out of my budget though.

does it matter if the truck is a 4 banger or 6 as far as the fuel lines are concerned for the ls1 in a 98 s10 ?and hooking them to the motor?

i just ended up running new 3/8" braided steel lines for mine. I went with a fuel cell as well so mine is probably different than yours.

I am gathering everything I need for my swap and have a couple questions.
I currently have a 4l60e but would like to get a t56. How involved will this be? I know I need to modify my cross member, cut a hole in the floor board for the shifter, and install an s10 cluth pedal and master. Is that about it?

that sounds about right. the wiring is going to be different obviously. make sure you get a computer that is programmed for the t56 as well.

does your truck have the center console? if so let me know what you do for a boot and the plastic part that retains it. I'm looking to do a T56 in mine too.

I came across this on google it's jtrs ls1 blazer I think looks really clean in the cup holder.I don't know what they used for a boot but I did find out that a c6 corvette boot is about the same size as the blazer cupholder pics below.I haven't put it together yet though. Here is the shifter I will be using (I have two of them)https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/485241-hurst-shifter-ws6-short-stick-c6-shift-knob.html

Hmmmmm interesting. Mine is a little different I have an '03 with the floor shifter and it has a removable panel that the shifter goes through but I have yet to see a stick that was optioned out like mine so none of them had the center console I don't know if the 5 speed even came with one (that would be too easy) any ways is that shifter you got out of a C6?
