My truck just needed a bracket 'cause I have the sealed hubs from the factory Blazer spindles. All I had to do was some clearancing and bolt on the calipers. My front end set up was prolly the cheaper of the two set ups I bought some used Vette calipers and carriers from a local Vette shop for sit down $75 for the pair. The rebuild kits were like $25 for the pair the brackets were $150 the rotor were $150 for the pair new. The total swap front and rear was about $900.

just FYI, 3rdgen fbody brakes are the same thing as the "traditional" S10 ones hes refering to above.

ive met Ed and known him online even longer, good guy and he makes great brake parts. even if you just need the hubs or the brackets, i highly reccomend getting it from him... unless you can make your own..(not too hard with a lathe)
when the site goes back up, look at the brake setups on www.thirdgen.org .. theres ALOT of info there about it.

alright cool..i found the link
now i'm kinda curious as to what process you guys went through as far as markup goes for the oil pan.wanna set the engine in this weekend, just trying to get a good idea of how to go about it. looking to mark up for the truck pan, what did you guys find easiest to do, engine in with the pan, or without the pan on?

Just wondering on a couple of things, has anyone tried to use the 98-99 fbody midlength headers, or the manifolds from the 5.3 silverado? Also what are the issues with the f body acc brackets and a 99 s10?

You mean like these It looks kinda close other than the collectors and by the time you modify the collectors it probably wouldn't be any better than the jtr/headman headers. And as far as manifolds go it doesn't take much to make the 98-99 fbody manifolds work

If you look at where the F-body Acc puts the alternator you'll see....The alternator mounts way down low, right in the same spot the steering box is. The 2 items really shouldn't occupy the same space....

I ordered the ls1 swap book from current performance a few weeks ago and still have nothing. I also emailed them to see if they knew when it would be here and no response. Anyone else have any contacts with them??

Not sure but i will be trying it. Anything works with a little fabrication. just make brakets to go from the vette braket to your alt. it would save alot of money if you didnt have to buy the vette one
