that crossmember trimming you have there in the first pic... is that to clear the truck pan or Fbody pan? is the pan modified after that clearancing?
i really dont like how small the stump is on the modded truck pans.. and i dont like how the pan is slightly lower then the Kmember.... id rather run my Fbody pan, and mod the chassis.. if its not much more chopping then that.

cool I did not know that I stopped checking the JTR web site when I got the second gen and started looking into the LS1 but it seems like he's working on them now they need to come out with a new book.
wow, gettin some good info on here, lets see how many pages this goes! i guess im just goin to fab my own motor mounts ( 5.3 into ZR-2) , should i just get some "generic" motor plates that bolt to the block then fab them to my stock 4.3 mounts? ive not had any luck on finding zr-2 mounts.
Hey what the hell is this almost to the bottom of the page.
Uhmmm..... new topic..... Brakes what have you guys done or are planning on doing? I did a C5 conversion up front and I'm working out a few details to get the e-brakes to work on my LS1 rear brakes.

cool they are prolly just as good as my uber exspensive Hawks.
Congrats on the boy I got a boy coming also I'm hopeing the lil turd is gonna be a garage monkey like his daddy. I always joke about the valvoline commercial that has the dad showing the kid how to change oil and when they pan back the kid is still in diapers and all he can say is gooo that'll be me and junior.

Well it depends on the vehicle you got I'm gonna assume by your handle you got a '97 sonoma so that means you got the traditional style spindles. So you would need the hubs and brackets from Ed Miller (the guy I used) I'll get the info so you can contact him. My truck just needed a bracket 'cause I have the sealed hubs from the factory Blazer spindles. All I had to do was some clearancing and bolt on the calipers. My front end set up was prolly the cheaper of the two set ups I bought some used Vette calipers and carriers from a local Vette shop for sit down $75 for the pair. The rebuild kits were like $25 for the pair the brackets were $150 the rotor were $150 for the pair new. The total swap front and rear was about $900.
You know what any body who's interested pm me and I'll give you Ed's number also you can go to www.s-seriesforum.com go to the brake section and you'll find the thread up top with alot of info.
Oh and you gotta register to see any of the threads. kinda sux.
