Anybody in here thinking about running a FAST system? I was thinking of spending the extra money and getting more bang for my buck. I aint going huge on the motor just a iron 5.3 with ls1 accesories, reworked 5.3 heads, of course cam but dont know which one, and oh yeah a small turbo to push 6-8psi. What would be some advantages and disadvantages or extra things to think about for boosting?

I don't think (could be wrong) that a 5.3L needs a FAST a LS6 manifold would be more than enough and a hell of alot cheaper too. Maybe even look into the one from TPI specialties the Oval 1200cfm gimmick prolly more than you need still.

Just looking for the general stuff like pan type and clearance and exhaust and maybe some stuff about the trans and what you did for a shifter, really just anything unique to your swap. I'm looking for the sticking points hopefully I'll start the swap early next year. On the flip side if you are looking to do some brakes or suspension upgrades let me know.

What did the t56'ers do for the crossmember in the trucks or blazers? And also "BIGDEES",on the fuel system, you say simply get the vett filter and nothing else is needed or do I have that wrong? My final truck for the conversion is a 99 4cyl 5 speed regular cab that was bought specifically for this conversion

I don't know about the four cylinder fuel pressure (60psi?), pump (same as 6cyls?), and fuel feed line (3/8?). The vette filter/regulator takes the place of trying to use the regulator that is part of the fuel pump assembly on the f-body. As in, I didn't need to mess with my pump or fuel lines (before the motor). You will need to figure out a way to adapt your fuel lines to work with the filter/reg though...but you have to adapt lines for the motor anyways .

I don't believe so. Except maybe some elongating of the bolt holes. But I'm sure some one here knows for sure.
