what supercharger are you looking at pete?? have you concidered a sts style setup?? might frighten a few of the old cossy lads over here! lol

and im glad to have found something that makes you smile mate. i think you should get a cheap manarno as your everyday motor!?!?!?! then you can turbo it! hehe

dogsballs (great name by the way lol), from the site it looks like these things cna diliver the goods. the TTR kit (does that use the kkk480 turbos or the 3xx units??) is a real winner! with the 480's you could get nearly 1000bhp and still keep it useable!

thanks Chris.

pete, cam and heads will b crazy in such a lightweight car, supercharger or turbo would be insane (bring it on!)

chuntington the standard kit comes with the kkk's, which you'd think aren't crash hot, but that kit has pushed out 450 rwkw (on a previously very good bolt-on motor) and ran a big holden commodore into mid 10's first trip to the strip.

wow just goes to show! 450kw is like 600bhp and thats on the stock (ie Gen tt not R?) turbos? thats really good. so are the TTR units still KKK?

thansk Chris.

How long is the propshaft ? I imagine its much shorter then the Holdens ?

Are you retaining the standard 2 piece ?

Ive often heard that guys tie in the cage to the car up at high level too..

It means in teh event of a relatively minor thump, the chassis shape doesnt get affected as badly, so repairs can be easier.

Oh...and do cut that gear surround bigger lol.

Yes mate, keeping it 2 piece.

It`s 140mm too long Stevie, JW eng. in Barnhurst are gonna shorten the back half and balance the whole unit.

Yeah, I hear ya about the gear surround. lol.
Gonna do that when we strip her out.

Wow, Beautiful as always.

Any idea when you will be ready to take it for a test drive?

It's gonna be loud man!

To get mine down to below 105dB(A) I run three Jetex 3" boxes in each side, it just scraped 104 on one side, and 102 on the other. Though it doesn't look as pretty as yours!

With my other toy (Pontiac Grand-Prix ASA Tour car (or in the UK - ASCAR)) - it has a single Howe Racing box, like the one you have by the diff, and it's 115dB. Too loud for most trackdays, and normal saloon car racing here in the UK. That's running a 450hp LS1 to ASA Tour Spec.

Roll on the Performance Vauxhall Show at the 'Pod!

Rob.

I have been following your build Pete and it looks great. I cannot wait to see the finished car, I am from South Africa and we have Opel Astra's at home and am really surprised you can get an LS1 in there! Awesome work.

I honestly don't know what to say! I went through all 15 pages, and am speechless. I really wish that I had your talent that you have with fab work. I absolutely strugled to get mine finished, and it took me 3 years. My car is practiclly a bolt together project compared to what you have there.

I have some distant family there in the UK, and I think I will have to look them up after this project is finished! Please keep the updates coming, I will definetly be watching out for them.

Thanks,
Chris
