Declaring my project done!
Worked out the final bug this week, the A/C system leaks are plugged, it's charged and blowing cold. Everything is working, drive-by-wire, cruise control, cooling system, fuel system, exhaust and it looks good if I say so myself. So since projects have to have a start and end, I am declaing this one done and will spend some time enjoying the fruits of my labor. It's off to Hot August Nights this week, looking forward to seeing some of you up there.
The car itself, will never be "Done", and this project will spawn others, like a new rear suspension to harness the LS1 torque, and a refined intake system, and I already have new fuel rail covers in the works.
Thanks to all on this board for all the help, and thanks to John Spear for all your guidance and the excellent electronics work. Without you guys I don't think I could have done it. I'll definitely hang around to share what I've learned.

Congrats on a project well done!! Your car turned out great!
And by all means stick around and share your experiences and knowledge with others.
I've seen so many guys finish their project and then they are never heard from again on the boards. The wealth of knowledge gained when you actually finish the entire project is unbelievable and it's nice when you can share it with others.

When I read the title I thought I was going to have to pull out the smilie, but then you saved yourself by saying this project was done but the car will never be done. Congrats on finnishing it, I know it can be very difficult to do. It is relatively easy to get it to the stage where you can drive it, but getting all of the little lights, gauges, and accys to work again is a huge battle and it is so easy to give up. I still don`t have a functional tach or A/C but I am working on it. Glad to see your past that stage.

Thanks everyone! There are pictures in my journal and I will add them here. I'll work in getting that good smokey video for you (and me!) too.
And a picture of the whole car below

Thanks! Interesting, I was stationed at Beale too, and I was also stationed at Hurlburt/Eglin for a couple years. But that was a while ago. Retired CMSGT, USAF now.

Nice job Pat.....well done! I fall into that "never finished" category also......as now I am gathering parts to upgrade my LS-1 to a 6.0L with a pair of L-92 heads......just looking for more torque. Now......get some fun miles out of your Stude!
