John.........Since I'm gonna be pretty low.....I'm not gonna think about it any more.....I'm just going to go with the built-up smaller trans........

Thanks

That sucks about the motor, but it's an excuse to make more power!

Where is this shifter you are talking about? --pics or it never happened!

Very nice build, you solved the problem I'm having with placing the ac compressor on my build and my goal to keep it mounted low. You're the first person I've found that did it that way and made their own mounts. Mid build on a 69 camaro with a 09 g8 complete take out swap (L76 opt 6.0L with a 6L80). Build thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...l#post18027371
So sorry to hear about how the storm affected you, simply horrible. Gonna PM you with hopes I can get the template for your home made ac mounts. Thanks for the help. Brad

That is awesome how you battled back after the hurricane. Fortunately my beach house in RI dodged a bullet in this one and Irene. All we got were downed trees and a couple of days without power.
The car looks great. What color is it, pictures don't really give a good indication. It almost looks Linden Green (Pontiac name).

what a thread....the storm damage about made me sick after all the blood, sweat & tears (and a truck load of cash) you put into this labor of love. You are persistent, resilient, dedicated, driven, etc.....wow, nice work. I have acquired a 67 Malibu along with a LQ4 to transplant into it, not sure on the tranny yet, probably the first 4L60 or 80 I find a deal on once I have scratched-up some cash. I am sure I will be revisiting this thread multiple times in the future. If you still have the template for the AC brackets you fabbed up, I would like to use them.

pcm was originally located on interior side of firewall above trans hump , which was hard to access then it moved into the center console and now it is in the trunk for easy access . JOHN
