The G-Body Swap Thread
Been wondering a little about A/C as well. I know a frame notch is pretty much necessary if you use adapter plates. And BRP I think no notching is needed.
I wonder how a custom bracket would do to push a Sanden compressor out further to line up with rest of the pulley's??
Like this

Or

With the factory truck bracket and compressor maybe even the car compressor & bracket, I think the end of the compressor/bracket hits the mounts with 1in setback plates (for those using that setup)
I would think a custom bracket like above but push it more forward so it's no longer running on its own belt if you use a new Sanden Compressor.
I did a search of this thread, and maybe I missed it, but certainly need more info. Going to run twin 66's or a big single turbo with A/C and really really don't want to look at the a/c at the top of the engine bay. I got Trans-Dapt 1" set back plates.

There is plenty of room for the stock AC compressor

Just needs a different pulley and custom brackets, or sanden compressor.
Which are those? There are quite a few different mounts on ebay.

Trying to get the monte floor shifter that was used with 200r4 to work with my 4l60e, using 1in set back plates.
I sold the old 305 and trans a while back, didnt even cross my mind to take the brackets off the original trans if that's all I need for the shifter to work with the 4l60e.
Thanks!

As for the shifter , still trying to find out the best way to hook the 4l80e up and what cables needed. But I will take pictures of the hopeful fitment of the headers.
