Todd, What series p/s pump is in the 07 Trailblazer SS?

Is this also true with an L92 with VVT? I seem to remember seeing some guys using a pulley from a Lucerne.

I have a stage 2 Extreme Automatics 200-4R that I am gonna use initially to get the car driving and then will save for a 4L80e over the next winter.
Sounds like a fun project. The stage 2 200-R4 that Extreme Automatics put together is a stout transmission. What intake and throttle body do you plan to use? You will need a cable set up for the TV cable. If you go with a 4L80 you will need a newer (E38) ECM to control it.

I'm not familiar with those vehicles, so I can't say.

Look up the build thread for user jimmyg, he's using the Hooker system of components and retained the functionality of VVT on his engine.

Not true. You only need a newer OS flashed onto the older PCM's.

I have been back and forth. I keep looking for a deal on an LS6 but they seem to be getting harder to come by. I am leaning towards a Vic Jr. + elbow setup. I think a company makes a bracket for the TV setup as well as the adapter kit for the flywheel torque converter. Forgot to mention I also have a 9.5" 3000 stall TC.

I have been hearing the 411 pcm's can basically be setup for anything with the right OS, any truth to this? Wiring and PCM is a bridge I will have to cross later after I my turbo picked out and figure out placement, but I am looking heavily at the PCI harness.

It would be very close and looks like it might, but I'd be concerned about steering arm clearances.

When I get everything in I'll do some measuring and mock up for you.

I have the CTSv Pan and the current Hooker mounts. The steering arms clear but it is pretty darn close. I measured the depth of the front of the pan and it's 1.75 which is the same as the Holley swap pan I believe.

I'm glad to hear the CTSV pan fits with the Hooker engine brackets as I did not have the opportunity to test fit any pan other than the Holley 302-2 during the development of the Hooker components. As a note, the front of the 302-2 pan is 1.25" tall and the sump is shorter than the sump on the CTSV pan, so it will provide more clearance everywhere.

Does it hang below the cross member at all? It would be great if you can post some picks.

Guess that mounted the ecm in the interior of the car:

I have a PSI conversions harness to go into my car and I have questions where/how you guys mounted the ECM. I have a TCM, ECM and the fuse box to deal with.....so it is a bit more challenging.

Awesome pics. I guess one thing I am not seeing with the CTS-V pan is why there is interference with running AC? Has anyone though about trying to adapt the GN's accessory drive to the LS motor? I keep thinking of ways to run AC and put a turbo on the car but I guess I will tackle that when the time comes.

The easiest way to run a/c with a turbo setup is to to forget about a top mount setup and run a stock low mount compressor. The truck compressors fit in a g-body with little to no frame mods.

If I had the time and could work in Peace I would make the AC work. Fact is I'm under the gun dealing with time, kids, house, limited shop time etc...

I have some other pictures that show the steering knuckles when fully turned. The passenger side doesn't come close but the drivers side just barely skims it. It's like the width of a mosquito wing so I'm going to let it fly and monitor it closely.

I also have the PSI harness. I still trying to figure out where to mount it. At first I wanted it to go in the stock location of the Monte ECM but the LS1 PCM is simply too large. I'd like to see if I can put the fuse box in the kick panel location and the pcm somewhere close by.

yea, like-wise. I have a tcm even though it is only about 4x4 in size (inches) but still another hurdle to deal with. I had my current setup mounted in the engine bay, but I would assume it would look god awful if they were mounted there and not having the harness routed how it should have been.

Posting what radiator hoses I used here to maybe help others.

Im using a Dewitt G body LS swap radiator, it's a dual crossflow, both fittings are on the passenger side.

Lower radiator hose is a Dayco PN 71968. It is long & had to be cut to fit. It doesnt hit anything.

Upper hose is Dayco 71981, it fit perfectly, no trimming at all. May not fit for you if you are using a different water pump.

My motor is starting to look more complete. I used the Corvette C6 accessories and they were pretty darn bolt on.

I sat the turbo down to start taking measurements. I'm going to go with the truck manifold on the drivers side and the custom log header with crossover to the rear.
