when you make a post there is an option below to "attach files". That's the easiest way.
If the pics are already hosted some where on the web you can link to them in your post by clicking the yellow square with what looks like a mountain in it. It's in the toolbar above.

We've been test driving most of last week.
The LS7 Fiero made it to it's 1st show this weekend & did pretty good.
Troy wasn't able to be there because of job commitments.
Congrats Troy, wish you could have been there.

I can't belive I just found this thred!!! That's awsome man. I had a 1985 2M4 back in high school and I used to drool over V8 Archie's website all the time. I actually traded the fiero in for the camaro. He he. But I miss that little car. It's nice to see Archie is still at it. I always said I'm going to get another fiero some day and do an LS swap. Looks like Archie has it figured out. As usual!

If you read this thread from the beginning, you'll see that this car wasn't built as a track car.
I'm sure Troy will make a trip or 2 down the 1/4 when he gets it home but I won't be doing that because that's not was I was hired to do.
If building a track car was the goal we would have just stuck that LS7 into an old Camaro & had at it. It definately would have been a lot cheaper to build an old Camaro or Nova than this car was.
We'll be completing the testing here in the next couple of weeks then Troy will be coming to pick it up.
I'll be posting some more video soon.

It may not be a track car, but it should at least hold together. I'm mostly interested in the durability of the F40 trans myself.
The car is beatiful, and it's awesome, but if it has to be a trailer queen, then what's the point?

I just bought my first Fiero. An 85 2m6, I love it, and have been drooling over this thread and that LS7. lol Good work man! That is one sexy vehicle, and maybe one day I'll be dropping my Fiero off at your shop. lol

This is a very nice build. I have watched Archie for many years and always appreciated his expertise. He has done things before most others have thought about it. Mrtroyboy you have lots invested in your very nice car. The trolls are just soooo jealous they are happy to find a place where they think people may not know them for what they really are. Three written words and you can spot their demeanor immediately. They will never understand why people don't respect them. If their parents had slapped their smart a** mouths they would have probably become nice people. Who cares what the dyno numbers are? The craftsmanship is what matters, if it's there the performance will be there. There is way more to a nice street high performance car than what the dyno says.
I have four fieros and drive two of them regularly. One is a little loud as it has a 3.4 95 camaro v6 with chevy's high per cam, roller rockers, ss valves, ported heads and some nice coated headers. It's a 5 spd 88 gt. The exhaust is pretty open no cat, so it's a little tricky in town to have fun. The other is a 86 gt painted guards red. It's stock except for a chip, it's also a auto, so I usually drive it to chase small car parts or run errands. Both cars have low mileage. I also have a k10 blazer with a ramjet and built 700r4 that I drive along with a 91 k2500 4wd suburban, it's my hunting wagon. I do everything but auto tranny work and have tried that some, mainly just putting in transdapt parts. I'm 65 and have been hotrodding since I was 15.
My son hotrods a suby sti and I do all his fabbing. The extra parts are going in a 75 914. I am only doing the 914 because it's lighter than the fiero, it is a lot uglier. I'd really like a sequential tranny in the 914.
I will do a ls1 in one of the fieros but am waiting for a factory fwd version I like. Thats how I got here. It will probably be the monte carlo version auto tranny. I have also been watching fast fieros in dallas to see how they progress. I actually have a very low mileage 95 buick 3800 with the ecu and all the wiring, even the steering column for the thieft deterrant ignition, but decided it wasn't quite stout enough for the effort.
914 sbc guys have been dealing with low torque rated trannys a long time. It would be nice to not worry but really a person can tear anything up if he tries enough times. Just ask the wrx kids about their trannys.
I'll be lurking, try to ignore the trolls.
