LQ4 into a 3rd Gen/1972 Nova
It is small enough that I was able to screw the module to a trans mount web. I put a connector in the power supply wire so I can unplug the power wire and pull the trans with the module still attached.
Works like a charm. Some times I wind up double checking to be sure I'm in reverse.
Without activating the lockout the force needed to get into reverse is similar to the reverse lockout spring in the Hurst comp plus shifter I had. Stiff but doable.

I like it because in addition to handling the reverse lock out solenoid, it also provides two independently configurable hall effect speed outputs. This is super helpful, especially when using various Holley EFI systems.

Clint and I have been emailing back and forth, but figured I'd reply with the information here too. I also have to dig thru my paper notes/drawings to find the spring dimensions and rate I settled on for the reverse lockout solenoid.
Truth is, my girlfriend and I bought and moved into a house this past May/June... so that has keeping me slammed on top of an unseasonably-busy work schedule too.... no complaints there, just no time to do anything pleasurable yet, really.
BUT... now I have my own driveway, and 20'x20' two car garage! I've alluded to it a bit on Instagram, but haven't really posted anything about it anywhere since it's been such a messy shitshow of moving and organizing the new house/property.
This is one of the first days of moving everything into the "unpacking zone"...
If I back in, there's a pretty good amount of room on every side of the car. Eventually the bins/rack behind the car will go in a separate storage room in the house, and nothing will be next door or leaned against any wall around the car...
Unpacking getting a little less crazy, but then starting to bring more tools over from my parents' garage...
I get a chuckle out of how shocked some IG people get when I show the car getting used as storage... apparently that's a faux-pas....
A little more re-arranging and storage room happening with the same style shelving/brackets that I've used at my parents' garage for over a decade...
The yard was a scene from Jumanji before we had a long whack at it with some gardening tools...
And some pics of her in her own driveway for the first time!...

Oh and keep that stuff off the car... not because I'm worried about the finish, but that's just one more barrier to hopping in for a drive. My opinion is truth. This is the way.
you we be surprised how quickly a two car shop fills up. Boxes, bench cherry picker and eng stands take up a lot of room. Even when folded. Hopefully you will have a shed for the bikes and cycle and mower.
Quickly was reminded that it has a sticky balljoint somewhere on the passenger side that is making it not want to return to center after a corner, so gotta look into that before I start cruising it!
The garage is still an evolving mess, but at least I'm starting to figure out what can and cannot go in it.....
To help [eventually] keep crap from stacking and accumulating in the garage, I removed a window in an adjacent room, and added a door, to make an attached "work room" in the house, to easily go between the garage and my tools/workbench....
I drove the car both days this weekend! Man I missed driving this thing, I feel bad for neglecting it so much during summer 2020 (insane work schedule, house move along with mild renovation, garage sorting, etc obligations).
Also, I friend came by on Sunday to enjoy the yard and sun. Some of you may vaguely remember his Camaro...jeez it's so nice, I still want it badly...... haha.
Sure wish I could get up there to meet you guys and see what the roads and scenery are like.
