If you dont know the Moderator Dustin was previously stripped of his mod status. Since he believes he was treated wrongly he feels that his stickes should be taken down. He feels that his time and work spent making these threads should not be carried on if he isnt allowed to be here with them. What do you think? If you were a mod and it was taken away would you still want those people benefiting from your work?

Not knowing what the situation is between Dustin and whom ever, if it were me, I would just let them stay up to benefit any that can use them.

While I fully understand his frustration, the information here is public domain and is very helpful to folks- not the site admins.

I vote (and request) they stay up.

This sux; Dustin always seemed very heplful. Not knowing the details, I'd hope there could be some sort of reconciliation.....

No. This is a public forum. The information he shared or created could have bee done as a general member, not necessarily by a moderator. I have stickied information provided by other members to avoid excess questions.

It is unfortunate what has occured with Dustin, I wish him good luck, but the issue needs to be resolved.

And just because he is no longer a moderator, doesn't mean he is not a member to benefiit from LS1Tech aswell, if he voluntarily leaves well that was his choice.

Your post sounds purely of sour grapes.

Why would members who read the sticky's want them to be taken down all on the account that you are upset with the board, that had nothing to do with your brother's problem. Stop whining and be like everyone else or stop posting. You won't be here long if you start posting a bunch of this stuff. Tony and John have the final say on things anyway. So they are the ones you should be talking to, but they already gave you your answer, so this thread is useless.

This brings up an interesting legal question that may or may not be addressed in the site user agreement... I would imagine that it probably states any information posted to these servers becomes property of the site owners.

I went and read the thread involving Dustin.. it's good for a laugh. The stickies should stay.

he's just upset. i think when this is done he will calm down and realize how many people he helped and how many will be helped in the future. so no they should not be taken down.

I think the stickies should stay. If he wants them deleted, maybe someone could just quote them and they could sticky that.

He seemed to really know what he was talking about. It is unfortunate he couldnt resolve things with the buyer.

Get real, once I post on any site, that post becomes property of the site, its current and future owners.

Want to own something you write? Publish a book, and copyright it. Posts on a prvately owned forum become at best public domain, and at worst, owned by the site owner.

Dustin can do what anyone with a grievance can do... start his own site. Since he authored the stickies (or adapted, quoted, or compiled from other sources), I can't see an issue with him posting them again on his site.

But seriously, Dustin, work out your issues, and come on back and share the info. I've gotten much from it myself.

If they didnt stay that would be like you making something for your boss at work and then when he fires you for stealing from one of his clients you say...."Um Boss, I made the "whatever" so I am taking it with me......(Um Bullshit)

As far as the problem with Dustin, does it suck sure did he mess up absolutly should he be treated diffrently since he was a mod YOU BET!. Being a mod although more work for them (props to the mods) is a privelidge and if you jack it up guess what you get stripped of your title.

I do wish all the best to all parties involved.

the worst part is he had several chances to make it right. by his own admission, he was in the wrong several times. now people come down on him for screwing up and he is bent out of shape and wants to pout and have his stickies taken down? i say screw him.let him have his little stickies.crybaby.shows his real character.
