Default Big Brakes! Retrofit C6 brakes to C5

Front Rotors:



Front caliper installed. NOTE: no brackets needed. the caliper has the mounts for the bolts already :thumbs:

SCHWEETTT!! 6 pads!

I know.. it's not fulled bolted on yet, but you get the picture :thumbs:


Rear rotors:



Rear Caliper installed. same like the fronts! :thumbs:

Wow! What a difference!! Are those the C6 brakes or C6 Z06 brakes? I know some parts are available from the next gen. Z. Cost? Thanks J...

Those are the C6 Z06 brakes. The 6 pads for the front calipers (6 piston front) are a dead giveaway. So are the 4 piston rear calipers.

Thats awesome. Now if a vendor can provide some pricingand a package: rotors, pads, calipers. How does the braking feel now. Better I would think. Did you compare weight?

It is stated over on CF.com that they are not available yet. Not sure how he got those...very cool none-the-less.

He states noticeable difference in braking. No weight comparison.

There is a vendor on the Corvette Forum that has the whole setup for $1695 + shipping. that's a GREAT price for some KILLER brakes!

I can't say the vendor name, because it's not good forum etiquette, but the GM dealers first name is the same as Wilma Flintstone's husband, and the last name is a musical fruit that can blow the back of your pants out!

Ask for a guy named Gene, if you're intersted.

J-Rod, your car looks NASSSSSTY, I've also got a black FRC and I was planning on putting the new z06 wheels on there as well.....Do you have any other pics of your car/?!!?!? Thanks!

Its not my car, its someone who was testing brakes for GM to some extent. I just copied the info over from CF.
