The car has a monster muffler on it and is extremely quite way below the 95dp requirment for raceway park. The suspension and tranny is straight out of my car. Billy has taken it to a new level. The mods include a custom rear by The Vette Doctors The gears & output shaft were all treated & the clutches were packed in such a way to get it to act like a spool. The tranny is a modified Yank Turbo 400 System the tranny was rebuilt by Freddy Brown. The tranny and rear are tied together with a DTE custom brace. The torque tube was modified with a custom Shaft & ends fabricated on a CNC machine.

that car will go low 8's maybe even a high 7

Best of luck Billy and Congrats once again

How much for a tranny and rear-end set up like that for my 00' A4. I just got a kick *** 4L65E from Rossler, a new Precision 3400 stall and a stg. 5 rear-end from DTE. My set up has 5 miles on it. But, I'm worried about breaking something. I'm not running slicks. I was wanting to make one ***** out pass to get a "Best ET" for the car. It's a 408, with a progressive 500 shot, with an NX Direct Port with a stand-alone..

That is my coupe in the video. What an incredible car with a lot of potential still in the tank. This was only the 5th pass since completion and the car had a very conservative tune for testing with low boost. The car weighs 3500 pounds with a full cage. It has a LS2 402 engine, upgrade torque tube with a TH400 and IRS. The complete exhaust system was designed and built by American Racing headers.

Here are some details of the build - The Vette Doctors as always built a killer LS2 (402cui) - thanks Dennis! The Vette Doctors #1 Tech Joey and team spent over 500 hours building this beast. Joe's knowledge of the C5 is unreal! He single handedly wired the whole car and fabricated and assembled every modification inside and out. He is incredible! As for the Vette Doctor himself Carmen, he handled everything! He was the brains behind the project and brought American Racing Headers and Turbo People to the project to help build this great car.

Carmen worked with Nick and Jose from American Racing Headers to build a custom header set up, complete exhaust system, all the turbo plumbing and a ton of misc welding and fabrication! The workmanship that comes out of that shop is second to none! Trust me, if you do not have American Racing headers on your C5 or C6 you are leaving power on the table, Period!

Carmen also worked with Turbo People and their incredible knowledge of World Class Turbo Race Cars. For those of you that do not know them, they have some of the country's fastest and successful outlaw and drag radial cars! Joby is one of a kind. His knowledge of turbo equipment, tuning, suspension and in general drag racing is tremendous!

Again, I can not leave out Paul Major. He has blazed a new trail in Corvette Drag Racing and has helped me out tremendously! Having friends like Paul and Angelo who have an incredible drive and tenacity for drag racing is a huge plus and an incredible pleasure!

The car is truly amazing. Definately the real deal and not the dyno queen hype we sometimes see here.

The Vette Doctors deserve a lot of credit for this and all of their accomplishments. Thats 3 C5's in the 8s and 1 in the 7s!!!
They absolutely build the Worlds Fastest LSx based Corvettes!

PS. Both Paul and my car are also powered by the best Corvette C5 header bar none....

American Racing Headers! Race Proven!! World Class Header!!

Yes he is the one helping start the trace on the passanger side of the car. He really made this project happen and takes tremendous pride in his work and its accomplishements as you can hear in the genuine joy in the scream as the time is posted.

The Corvette and LSx based projects that have and continue to come out of The Vette Doctors is mind blowing!
