Talking Just Bought a 2004 Z06 Z16 CE!

Yessir, I pulled the trigger on a 2004 CE this week. She's #281 and has only 20K miles on her. I probably won't be doing much mods as my 2000 Z28 is already border-line streetable, but I'll probably be picking your brains for tips/tricks and info. Just wanted to say "Hello!" Ben

Got a nice one on your hands. Can't wait to hear that you went with a good quality h/c setup. Start with some LG Pro Longtube headers for a big wake up first. Get used to that then keep going. Beautiful car, and hopefully she picks up some value considering the low numbers.

EDIT Be sure to get her tuned after the headers go on.

You'd be amazed how fast you can make a z06 while keeping it streetable. LG-Pros, modify the stock intake to recieve cold air, tune, and you'll be close to 390 rwhp. Combine that with the light weight of the car and the m12 transmission's gearing and you've got one quick car.

Amen brother. That is the only reason I wish I would've waited for the 2002 Zo6 vs getting the 2000 FRC. At any rate I love my car, but I guess I suffer from z envy. Lighter, better gearing on the low end. Big power increases makes 6th a lot more useable.

Heh. I won't be doing H/C on the Z06...not if I value my marriage. Intake/exhaust/tune are probable down the road a little bit. I already have a nasty Z28, so no need to get crazy. Thanks!

That's a more feasible plan...390rwhp would be plenty for me.

To each there own. I am not married, so I don't have that problem. However my fiance bitches about the money I spend on the car. I say oh well, all the bills are paid and I am the one that works the OT to do it. She usually backs down after that.

If you do headers, ported fast 90 intake and port your tb, add a cai, and get her tuned you'll probably make 400+ rwhp bolt on. Good luck.

Enjoy your stripes! I've had mine for about three years and I love it as much as the day I got it.

Heh. My wife is pretty understanding, but she wanted something less obnoxious than my Z28. I'll definitely do a CAI, headers and tune. Thanks for the kind words and advice! Ben

Yah. I should have just gotten a C5 18 months ago when I got off deployment, but I'm glad I waited and landed a Z16. Best of luck to ya!
