New best saturday @ MIR 7.2 @ 193
We had a tough weekend @ MIR. Friday we went out to get our new combo sorted out(New headers and injectors). First hit off the trailer the car wont build boost and something in the ECU isn't happy. So we make the call to swap out the injectors to our old set that was maxed out and bump up fuel pressure to get them to live. We missed a round and barely made 2nd round. We pulled up to the back of the pack and had to run a number to qualify in the top half. Still wouldn't build boost but managed a 5.0 @ 154 basically leaving on motor.
3rd hit we popped a charge pipe
4th hit we added RPM and still wouldn't leave on boost.
5th hit we added rpm and it left with alittle boost and managed a 4.9 @ 155 on 7 cylinders.
Saturday rolls around, 1st qualifer we pop the charge pipe at the turbo. Come back and fix that and check everything.
2nd qualifier we decide to throw more at it and it leaves ok, picked the front tires up 8", set them back down and the power came in, the car started to power wheelie, everyone said the front wheels were up 18" @ 300', once I lost sight of the tree line I shifted and it came back down very slowly....wild ride to say the least.
1.29 60'
4.82 1/8
7.31 @ 193
The logs showed 2 cylinders out just past 4.9 seconds into the run, pulled those plugs tightened up the gap.
3rd qualifier I added alittle boost on the hit, tightend up the front shocks and it responds nicely
1.25 60'
4.84 1/8
7.29 @ 194
The log showed the car was dropping cylinders but the EGTs seemed happy early in the run, but again dropped 2 different cylinders down track.
1st round we left it the same, still dropped 2 cylinders
1.26 60'
4.8x 1/8
7.33 @ 194
2nd round we left the hit the same but added down track, sucked for us because the track had 2 big bald spots in the groove from the 10.5 guys. The car struck the tires but I got back into it and got some very interesting data from the last run that we'll apply on our next runs.

it is to bad because he would be right in thick of things with the ohio boys and paul major. Maybe next year GM wont be the main sponsor and they will let no gm body cars compete. I think LS swaps into non gm's just showcase the potential of the motor.
BTW those LSX blocks have been kicking *** lately
