Default EPS 230/234 Cam Only 1/8 Mile Results

Car dyno'd at 385 rwhp 366 rwtq after the cam swap (330rwhp before the cam), peaked at 6200. For reference, a cam only C5 Z06 dyno'd 389 on the same dyno.

Took the car to the 1/8th mile last night on BS Street Lites with 26" Hoosier QTPs. This was the best pass:

1.71 60

7.62 1/8th

93.75 MPH

Limiter is set to 6400 and the car was hitting the limiter just before the traps. Need to bump up my limiter and hopefully get into the 7.50's @ 94-95. Was doing consistent 1.7X 60 fts and the 10-bolt held up great! I'm happy with the results. My suspension is not set up at all for the track, so there is a lot of room for improvement. Shouldn't have a problem getting into the 11.6-11.7 @ 116-117 the way it sits. The car is full weight with A/C.

Good looking car and nice times. What method are you using to launch? I'm sorry I didn't go with that cam for my setup.

Ran the rpm's up to between 4-5k and slipped the clutch hard out of the hole, worked pretty well.

How is the driveability with that cam? Are you satisfied with it?

Driveability is pretty good. I wouldn't want to have it as a DD, but its really not too bad at all. Its a good in-between cam. I wouldn't want to go any smaller and I wouldn't want to go any larger.

Thanks alot for the info. I'm running the torquer2 which has similar specs, but I've heard the EPS cams perform pretty well, and make great street cams.

I know everybody says "the dyno reads low". But with a 93mph trap speed in the 1/8th, I think you have a legitimate case of a low dyno!

Very impressive, you make me want to buy that exact cam. You could be a salesman...

Haha, exactly why I didn't want to post my numbers until I took it to the track. If I wouldn't have hit the limiter before the traps I'm guessing it would have been 94+. Going to bump the limiter up to 6600 and head to the 1/4 mile in a couple of weeks.
