Default cool weather got me a new pb mph 117 in the 1/8th

been hitting my local track as much as i can to get my car dialed in a little better so i can maybe get a 9sec slip at a local event here called "Dead hookers 14" saturday. Which wil be my first time at the 1320! kinda scared to go that fast! but anyways I played with my lca angle, pinion angle and ride height which barely helped my 60' but it made the car hook mid track which ive never really had.

So im confident now with this mph i may get into the 9's and alot of people have told me i will.

my buddy made a video.. WHICH by the way if anyone has any suggestions on how i can make my rear squat when i launch tell me.
i have full bmr suspension, comp 50/50 shocks, front qa1's full soft. Which i just found out my pinion angle is off its at +5 deg right now so im changing that tomorow.

Get the pinion angle correct and that should fix the issue. The car has plenty of MPH to get in the 9's. You have to get it to hook off the line!!

Good luck.

Congrats on the 1.41 60 foot times that is a lot better. I am sure you are changing that pinion angle to a -2.5 correct?

That thing will be moving out once it hooks without breaking. Your ET's will just keeping going down while the MPH continues to go up!

Not to mention the bigger turbo.

We generally recommend between -2 and -3, this will allow the driveshaft to have close to 0 degree pinion angle under full throttle since the pinion will climb upwards. You are definitely getting closer to finding the sweet spot with the car.

I forgot to ask why you are calling your car a Trans Am, it is a Formula correct? The -5 degree pinion angle probably got the pinion gear in a bind taking out the ring.

I am sure you will have no problem running in the 9's. Your car is going to back half real well. If you run in the 6.30 range in the 1/8 mile, 9 second time slips will be the reward so with the bigger turbo and 200 more HP building MPH and lowering ET on the back half will certainly produce 9's!

Good luck.

You will crack my *** easily in the 1/4 mile. But I will gladly run you for fun if you want. Get that car to leave and it's going to run low low 9s or better.

That is cool you turned a V6'er into a bad ride for sure! When a car runs that good you can call it whatever you want. I kept looking for a Trans Am in the video and finally realized what was going on. I am a little slow.

Good luck on your next outing!
