I recently bought George Baxter's 8 Sec 30th and was out licensing and ran a 9.26 @ 157 and the times above. Both passes were with a very easy launch pretty much at idle and still short shifting the car.Still trying to get used to it.

Yeah...for 35k that was a STEAL. NICE CAR!
------------------------------------------------------------------
OK.... here's the deal. Complete 1997 30th SS convertible, as raced in PRO/Edelbrock Xtreme Street class. Motor and trans fully rebuilt in last month. You need nothing else to make 8-second passes (except an NHRA "competition" license). Includes a 26-ft enclosed trailer, so you tow it to the track, and drive it.
383 Dart Iron Eagle block, fully CNC machined for weight reduction. Brodix 10X heads. Engine management by MoTeC (at least $5,000 in MoTeC equipment including M800 computer, IEX 8-channel ignition driver, "mini-dash", extended data logging, wide band O2, driveshaft rpm sensor, etc - the list goes on), $2,000 custom-made 2" step headers, Vortech X-trim with huge, custom water-to-air intercooler (runs approx 24# boost), custom solid roller cam, shaft rockers, coolant lines to siamesed exhaust ports, full crankcase evacuation system.... in short the absolute best parts, engineering, machine work and assembly money can buy. All assembly, tuning and dyno work done by Second Street Speed, Perkasie PA. Go to the "authorized tuners" list for MoTeC, and you will find there are very few, including names like Kenny Dutweiler, along with Bill Hunsberger of Second Street.
Engine dyno shows 1,325HP SAE corrected. Chassis dyno shows 1,000+ RWHP.
Trans is a custom built TH400, just upgraded with a ton of billet parts. $2,000 adjustable convertor.
Rear axle is Moser 9-inch, with light-weight bolt-thru center section, gun drilled axles.
Wheels are Bogart P1 Billet SS.
Front suspension: Addco springs/shocks, suspension travel limiters, Mark Williams light weight brakes.
Rear suspension: HAL/QA1 shocks, 94 Formula springs ( - at least my springs have made an 8-second pass), Full Spohn LCA's, relo brackets, custom torque arm, Mark Williams brakes, Wollfe sway bar.
This car pulls a 1.31 60-ft, and will go 1.2x easy with a more aggressive launch.
Probably a lot of other stuff I forgot.... go to this link and look over the pictures:

Man George selling that car marks the end of an era!!
I remember shooting the **** with him and Mr. Zaino himself at Englishtown in 97 back when he still had the six speed in the car![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
Good memories!
BTW congrats on the car and the times!!!
