Pinks: hardcore got lucky
Just watched pinks and boy did hardcore get lucky that AMP broke. I was rooting for the 3rd gen but I don't think they would have had a chance if that stang didn't break. But I guess thats a part of racing ,being able to build a consistant car that can take the abuse and come back for more. Hardcore was kind of late on the launch ,but that has to be the first block that I have seen break where it did. I hate to admit it but I tivo all the shows

i've heard that the first season you could buy back your car for $50.00 but that stopped after the first season and then you actually got to keep the car.
I heard that one guy sold the car back to the loser for a couple thousand or things like that.
not sure if any of that is true or not but thats what i've read on different boards.

I guess thats a part of racing... not to knock AMP but if you build a car that can barely make it down the track 3 times and then breaks? That's not too impressive, granted it WAS the faster car. Congratulations to Hardcore for building a consistant car that had no problems and driving alllll the way to AZ from Flint... McNeil did a good job driving... Another mustang breaking, haha... Who knows, AMP could of tested the crap out of that mustang in the RIGHT LANE multiple times before the episode was shot... The NOS finally took a toll on the block. Hardcore's car, i believe, was a 9second ride. The stang was easily a 8 second ride. Did they say in the begining of the video to bring a 10.5second car??? I cant remember. I thought it was a great episode even tho Hardcore won by default... A win is a win tho, dont matter how you arrive at it. I'd love to go on that show... It's the most watched show on the Speed channel and this clearly shows why. I hope the rest of the third season is like this episode... No Hardcore was not the first gen3 on the show... There was a silver t/a on the show awhile back. Take r' easy ya'll.

That's cool - at least I know it adds an element of realism to the show.
if they are in danger of loosing their car i'm surpised they let themselves get bullied into taking some of the races they do.
they have to know they are gonna get whooped sometimes.

None of the cars filmed at Orlando were given to the winner of the races. Everyone called BS on the show because no one lost there car, so the second seaon the drivers had to sign over the title to the show Pinks and the winner gets both cars

I am supprised Hardcore brought a car like that to race on Pinks, W2W and Hardcore are deffinately the best dragcar builders for latemodel GM cars and Jason McNeil is an excellent driver, cuts very good lights on a protree(he drives Hardcores 6sec 202mph 2005 GTO)but he seemed late off the line on most of the runs.
