you are comparing a 12.80 car in the same breath as dave's 8 second race car? i know ALL about dave's car. silly comparison. som, have you tried a 15" drag wheel with a tall drag radial yet? i am sure you will hook harder than you have ever at the track. if you have enough converter (and no doubt have enough power) your car WILL ET better with a 325 radial.

a mid to high 10 second (or faster) car will not slow down with a 325 radial. this i know. no one is recomending this tire on a 12.80 car. that is silly.

you have often compared 325 with a 275/60 - yet both are 28" tall. gearing will not effect either of these tires since both are the same height.

i will look to my car as an examply b/c i know everthing abotu it. n/a it did not slow down over the 28x9 slicks i used to run.

GTA91, i am not by ANY stretch an expert on this tire. in fact i am just learning and taking baby steps on what is really a very stock motor (small cam, stock heads, and a 125 shot). but i just dont agree that a 325 radial will slow down a 10 second car like yours or mine. its not like we are talking a 33W slick with tons of rolling resistance. again i will go back to my 460 rwhp 3600 lbs 3.73 gear car that goes 6.70s in the 1/8th and 1.3 60' - the tire seems to be doing just fine.

this is just my humble opinion. dont take it all to heart fellas.

I hook mine on a 275, with wayy more gear than you have

And you are clearly making alot less power than me... plus every car isn't the same. I'd like to borrow a set a 275's from someone local and see what the car does. That is the only way to know...

a car will hook on any size drag radial tire given enough suspension and tuning. the bigger tire obviously makes it easier and more consistent. grannyshifting, what is your 60' times?
