motor made power to 7400.... it might be too loose I dunno... it was a starting point that will be changed by springtime... I don't think it would like a nitrous hit the way it is.. probably blow right thru it.

Well, I say that but I will need to get me a 12 bolt before leaving off the brake. Guess I will be running footbrake until that happens.

I'm not happy with the 1.54 to 1.52 that I was doing either with the qtp's... hence my search for more traction as well!

I bet my car is 36something with me in it.. I didnt say that I was happy with the sixty-foot time, but am happy with the tires. The tires arent whats holding me back, its the weight. I need some 1.4s too!

wow what's your suspension setup besides the narrowed rear and big meats? do you think a lot of that is attributable to running the narrowed rear and big tire combo?

it has nothing to do with the rear being narrowed. that was just for looks. not performance.

the combination of great tire, good track (though still a test and tune night), good converter, and decent combo of suspension parts makes it work.

i am on stock front shocks, cheapy CE rears, and teh front of the car is slammed (see pix). nothing special about my suspension at ALL.

I've only gone a 1.58 60' on a 325/50 MT DR so far... my car weighs about 3500 raceweight, 402ci, T56, moser 9" with 4.11's. The 1.58 was with a shitty posi and slipping clutch. It sounded like a 5000 stall leaving the line. That was also with stock springs and shitty KYB shocks/struts. I just put a textralia clutch in the car along with a Chris Alston tq arm. We'll see how it does when the tracks open. I'm hoping for low 1.5's or high 1.4's on this tire and a T56!

Will the 325s work on a 15 x 8.5 wheel? Also, are tubes recommended?

DONT DARE put them on a narrow rim. these are 13.5" sidewall tires. 10" wide is the minimum width. they do work well on 10" wide though.

no to tubes, they are stiff sided radials

No dont run 8 inch wheels with that tire. You dont need a 10 inch or that wide a tire to cut a 1.4 though, Im doing it on a stick car, you cna at least equal your current best throwing them on you current rims

Someone mentioned screwing the tires to the rims, I thought you had to use tubes if you were going to do that? Guess not.
I wonder if the 275/60 will work better than my 27x11.5x15 QTPs. I'll need a 28" tire anyway this year.
