Default PAF chute / release system installed.

It mounts in place of the factory bumper support, and is lighter than the factory bumper support (chromoly). The chute bracket itself is powdercoated gloss black and is removable with one bolt (and invisible once replacing the license plate and stowing the release cable). Everything you need is included with the kit. I did have to supply 2 longer bolts for the bumper support since I still run a cat-back that has to be hung.

How do you guys like my release handle location?

I'm very happy with the fit and finish. Thanks a lot Tyson.

Looks good. I thought about using the ebrake handle itself as a release. I'd like to see that with the center console off, to get a better idea how you mounted it.

Chute looks good too

had the console on and off about 20 times, lots of work went on under there, didnt take any pics, ebrake still operates normally.

basically the pivot for the release handle is welded to the top of the ebrake pivot bracket, and the cable support is welded to the tunnel just behind it. some of the console underside had to be modified to clear, but nothing visible from topside.

^ I thought that would be a very clean way to do it. Especially if you had a removable chute mount.

if your brakes cant stop you from 130 in the 1/4 you shouldnt be racing it.
there is one track here that has a very short stopping distance, so in some cases its good for precaution. a chute should only be secondary means of stopping, IMO.

tj, I was not able to find any info on the burkhart rear bracket. are you talking about inside or outside the bumper? I think this one works with the body lines very well.

yea black woulda been good too. it's in to stay for a while.. not getting back into that junk.

b&m quicksilver shifter

as i said this chute mount is removable with one bolt and disappears completely behind the license plate.

That is nice. I have been looking at chute mounts, and didn't want to ditch the license plate. I like that.

i run a quicksilver of the same fashion. lots of hacking to get the console to fit properly? haha.
the burkhart is a very similar design to what you have. bolts to the stock bumper support, easily removed.
it just has a nice bend in the tubing to curve around the bumper rather than just go strait up.
cosmetic more than anything.
the burkhart unit also has a sleeve for the shute cable to ride in.
either one gets the job done, im not ******* your mount.

i didnt cut my console at all for the shifter, however i did cut the shifter to fit the console.

this one is bent around the bumper, it does not go straight up. it also has a sleeve for the cable to ride in.

full size pics here, maybe they will help
