Nothing new to report right now. I had to stop working on it to get some motor jobs out. Our season is just starting out West so it's a mad house around here... I hope to be caught up in a few weeks so I can get back on it... Even if it's part time.

I did make a major decision about the power adder. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I said I was going to use a Procharger... Well, I changed my mind about that. I'm going to go with a 106mm Turbo instead. I didn't make the change lightly... I talked with some other motor builders that have done it both ways and going with a turbo will allow me to compete in more classes, even if I have to change turbo sizes... That's a lot easer to do than change Prochargers so that's what I'm going to do.

I also decided to do a few changes to me set-up/trainer engine. I want to add some teeth to it to make it more interesting. I don't want it to be too big of a ET/MPH gap between the trainer engine and the purpose build engine... I'll post both engine build-ups in this thread, so those of you that are interested can follow ago with me as I go. The first engine won't be anything special, but the turbo engine should have few innovative ideas thrown in there... And I can't wait to get back on it!

I got a little work done this week. The rear tunnel is boxed back in after I cut it out to make more room for the torque arm... Now I can lower the rear and make the car level with the 2" drop spindles I added up front.

I also cut off that huge windshield lip <(Don't know what else to call it)... I'm waiting on a metal brake to finish that up.

And I put in a lift to make the work MUCH easer!

Looks really good man. I'd like to see a picture from under the back of the car where you did the tunnel over, just to see what's left of the stock metal.

I really like the tunnel mod and changing the rear seat metal. I plan on doing mine like that too, but a little less chopping.

Thanks! And when I get the underside finished, I'll take some pics and post them... Just gotta do a little fit and finish work first.

Here's the underside of the tunnel modification. Everything is boxed back into the original frame rails so not strength is lost. I also got the torque arm cross member welded in. BMR shows it installed below the sub-frame connectors but I didn't want it hanging down that low.

I also got some work done on my trainer/testing motor. And after some thought, I decided to make my own front motor plate and drive system for the fuel pump, dry-sump pump and alternator. All that stuff is in the drawing phase right now so bare with me..But when finished everything will mount to the engine and will not have to be removed to pull the engine...

Jesus can I have the training motor when you're done with it? That's a serious looking piece.

The cowl area is done. Now I'm going to start work on the sway bar set-up. I have an idea on how to tie that into the roll cage to make it super strong. More on that later.

Looks awesome, is your sway bar the one that mounts above the diff? I was thinking of ruuning down bars from the cage to the crossbar for the sway and through the trunk panel.

I have not made a sway bar yet... I'm still thinking about how I want to do it. But it will come from through the trunk panel and attach to a cross bar of the cage I have over that area. Give me a couple of weeks and I'll post up some pics.

Great looking build man...I'm defenitly gonna subscribe to follow along on the progress.

Hopefully I can start my build here before long. This motivates the hell out of me to start.
