I'd like to see what you did with the engine bay, and under the car. Did you cut the metal out that's behind the rear bumper cover outside the frame rails too? And did you hole saw, or cut out any of the metal that's behind the rear interior panels? What about under the front 1/4's?
This is just to give you an idea. This is my new car and Wayne and Steve have cut out more than this. ATV sent me a text with shoe strings and duct tape holding theirs together.

DMH carbon ones are 2 lbs for both panels. The carbon is about .020 thick, it's literally only 2 layers of material.

I was planning on cutting about that much off.. but am leaning towards leaving alot more intact. Just not worth the $ to do it that far when I only need to run 8.40 in the heat on a marginal track (8.50 index)

If I put a tall deck motor together and any nitrous on it at all there should be no issues.

No doubt Bob and Jay do some killer work... I really want to get my car down to them when I have everything done that I can do myself.

Sounds like you guys are making some good headway in the weight department.

I wish I was as light as you guys, but I've still got a large chunk of iron between the fenders.

I come in at 3270 to 3290, but I am 6'7 and 370 lbs myself....LOL

Post up some damn pictures will ya!

I really wish I could get away with a "muffler" like that.... it would save me a ton of headaches. Not to mention what do those weigh, like a lb for both? The 60 lbs of exhaust isn't helping my cause any.

Damn englishtown's noise rules.

Right, that's what I figured.

You guys do the side exit out the front or behind the front tire? With the cutting I assume that you did, there's lots of room out the side behind the front tire, at least it looks like there is to me.. and there's some firewall there in the corners on both sides that could be notched out too if need be.

The exhaust rule is the only down side to the 8.50 class I've found at this point. But then again you guys are aiming for over a second faster then what I need... so the rules for your stuff needs to be alot more open.

Very interested to see what you've done with the car.

Side behind tire and theres not as much room as you think with a big tube and collector. its fn tight. thats what took so long just making them at tight to the firewall as possible to keep tire clearance at full lock.

I don't know why they even require mufflers if they allow those "mufflers". lol
