2inch drop spindels
Whos running them?
I put a set on and have been having trouble with the car spinning. I only have about 1inch of shock extension (then the tire comes off the ground) I think thats making the car unload and spin?
Before with stock spindle I had a lot of travel, maybe 5-6inches of extension and never really had this trouble The car would pull the tires a few inches, if it did spin, I could make a front shock change, or tire presser and adjust for it. It seams like changes dont do anything.

We make drop spindles and they are on slae right now. I don'y recommend more than 1.5" of drop for this reason. Stiffen the compression on the rear as much as possible.
Also, 1" of travel does not sound right. If you started with 5 or 6 and are left with 1, then something is wrong. Either the shock is too short or you have them cranked up way too high.

What about fabricating some sort of 2" aluminum spacer to go on top of the shock/spring between the shock tower? Wouldn't that bring the shock down 2" and then open up the travel by 2"?

The Mustang with the nitrous engine: Far lane http://www.youtube.com/user/lsxmonst.../2/3uiD4g2o940 (8.58 @ 160 with a 1.24 60' )
The Camaro is not finished yet so no times or vids. But I don't see it being a problem either. Both cars will have limiters to keep the up travel at a minimum.

Got my real shock extension numbers, they are not 1.0 Like I said a few days ago, got PMs that it shouldn't be ect. and I dont want to get any wrong info out there.
Its on 25 front tires (nexen skinny radials on 15x3.5, 25.5 tall off the car 38psi) and 28 rear (275 DRs). At relaxed ride height after driving the car ect, from the ground to the of the fenders is 26.5 in the front and 27.5 in the rear. And form the center of the front tire (strange dust cap) to the fender is exactly 15.0 inch at rest. Jacking the front end up with the tires off the ground that dimension (full shock extension) is 16.625. So There is 1 5/8th of front shock extension.
Talked to chuck at burkhart today. They have 1inch drop spindles in stock and can make anything in a few days but I'm not sure what to get stock or 1/2 drop? Looking for info on what would work best for me, Might get a manual rack kit too, sine I'm running skinnies now too.
Yup I called and talked to chuck got me all the info, said he can get me for the shootout if he makes a set. I gotta look into it, What do you think I should go with steve? Good luck on the dyno

what drop would get get for the smruff mobile when it was camonly? I think I would get stock, would work best for my junk with a t56 poor 1st gear.
But now since I have a $$$ brake kit for a 3rd gen setup, it feels like a big waste of money to have $595 for stock spec. spindles.
But whatever works the best. The car is lower then stock, maybe 1/2 drop????
