Question Bmr Xtreme Rear Drag Bar

Whats some of your opinions on the new bmr xtreme drag bar? Is it worth the $400? I was looking to to find a used one, but no one seems to have one, so wondering if this upgrade is something you guys recommend. Im running lower 10's spinning some, not horrible..

I run a UMI drag bar, works good. Its a good street/strip bar thats biased towards straight line. The majority of my car is BMR though, they make great stuff!

I would like to know the weight of the UMI bar, the new BMR one is half the weight of their old one. I wonder how UMI compares.

I have one. My car after dialing it in came out straight with both wheels up and my 60 went down. from a 1.50 to a 1.42-1.44 all day. I have no front sway and this made the car stiff and feels almost like i have one on again.

its the BEST piece of suspension you can put on these cars. love mine. 1.33 60' on a small shot at 3600 lbs.

FYI Spohn bar does not work with aftermarket shocks, they will rub, hit, or knock off the adj *****.

The bmr and spohn kits both have very good street manners,I have used both on the street for years, the above kit is for all out race setups.

Most of these we have sold are on street cars that get raced as well. If you properly preload the bar it won't make noise.

To clarify, the Midwest bar is NOT 20 pounds lighter than the BMR bar. There is only a 4 pound difference in comparison to our new bolt-in hollow bar which is extremely streetable for a drag bar and more adjustable.

Thank you,
Kevin

That pic ssvert99 posted is my car. I drive it on the street and it drives fine with no front sway bar. You can sometimes hear it but I'm reasonable and don't expect a car with rod ended suspension and a chassis mounted TA to ride and feel like a stocker with rubber bushings. The only problem I'm having with the Midwest design is it kicks me out of the "street' class in a race series due to it's design. As for performance, weight and, function I couldn't ask for anything better.

The bars are definitely worth it. My car ran stock shocks/springs with 90k miles and 60' 1.40's on 11x16 ET streets at 22 psi/ 3750lbs. Launched straight.
