you could easily buld your own. but im sure any ram air will help. the more air you can force feed into the motor the better.

we just installed one a couple months back on my car,its a very nice piece!

I think it works, but to me its the cooler air from outside the engine bay is what makes the extra power. I am not 100% sure that the ram air part has any effect on power tho. Regardless it does a good job of helping to get that cool air in there. You could make your own but i have had no luck with that lol. I have considered buying it but i still have ac on my car and want the larger one.

They absolutely help, chris1313 has the data as others have said, and it my memory serves me right it builds manifold pressure at speed

Several tests at the track (blocking it then unblocking it) have shown a gain of .1-.2 depending on mods.

I have one of these, but it doesnt go down quite as far. I did not know I had it untill I took the car apart for heads and a cam w/ supporting mods. Guess the previous owner bought one of these, COOL!

Do you have to cut or remove the front air deflector, or does this hang below it? and isnt there a piece u have to cut out for the non AC kit?

you have too cut out the X-brace.

lol ^ man above created it and it definitely works well. I had it on my lt1 car with spray and it picked up 3mph in my setup

Yup, they make power. FTRA kind of design, Chris just improved it A LOT. Testing shows his ram air actually rams air
