Default Bolt on 1/8 mile

Hey guys so I was wanting to know average times on 1/8 mile and if mine is doing ok...I have a 02 ws6 156k miles , performabuilt lvl3 transmission, performabuilt 3800 stall, 3.73 in 10bolt, headers slp loudmouth, lid, fast 78, 335 Hoosiers, full weight sfc, lca, panhard bar, and a tune by justune..I run 8.3s to 8.4s this year...but last year I had no stall and a pcmforless tune and ran 8.2 and consistent 8.3s...my stall didn't seem to help at all? Is that weird? When I brake stalled it, the car bogged...but when I floored from idle it spun a little...

With the given mods your car should easily do 7.5s at or around 94 mph. What was DA and temp at times of run?

Time looks spot on for bolt on car.. theres no way a full weight bolt on car is going to touch the 7's imo.at least I havent seen it in my area.

Try different brake stall rpms. I also think 335 is too wide which could lead to the bogging problem...

Doubtful, very doubtful. He'd be lucky to run 7.8 @ 91mph.

You should at least have a 1.6x 60', getting that launch right will help you the most. I'd go with 275 DR's or 26x10.50 ET streets. 335 a bit wide.

Ok so you think I have to big of of a tire and it's hurting my time? I'm only doing a 1.9-2.0 60ft...I did that with no stall and 315s

That's an easy 7sec car on motor. Sounds like your having traction issues and need a tune.

No, I think you may have to get a better convertor IMO. And go with 4000 and up

Yank is all I've ever used and it worked great so obviously id say yank. Coan makes a good convertor as well. A preference thing really, all depends on peoples experiences. I'm just saying you need more than a 3800 for sure if you only cutting 1.9-2.0 and cant keep it from rolling the beams when you footbrake.

I dunno, not sure about the altitude where OP lives, but seems a bit slow to me. As I recall, my 99Z when bone stock ran 8.3@80 in the 1/8 mile. I thought I had an old time slip here I had uploaded, but can't find it. Of course, I'm basically at sea level. Have no idea what DA would have been then, as I didn't know about it then, lol

Mph is down unless your da is crap. Avg bolt on should be around 90mph. 85 is more stockish

Yea I think the fastest I ran was 86mph at 8.23, but that was last year with no stall.::and it was getting towards the end of fall so it was chilly...so how can u tell what your DA is?
